Can we get a comprehensive and up to date manual included? Watching videos takes 2-3x longer to watch the same amount of content and I rather browse through a 200pg manual than to watch 8+hours of YT content.
"The posted videos are inherently less than useful due to lack of random access, unscripted presentation, and often distracting style."
I 100% agree with that comment posted by someone else.
"The only thing stopping me from buying this program is a lack of video tutorials, or explanation, or a good manual."
A good up to date manual will make this more appealing to more people.
It is a really great product that makes it fall short due to the subpar documentation

Writing a manual for RC has to be one of the hardest assignments out there, if for no other reason than Atilla updates, freshens and develops this program - it seems daily.
I applaud the efforts of all who have tackled the learning problem and contributed to the community. Everyone has a different learning style which complicates the process more.
RC's wiki is underappreciated I think. If you're patient it seems to provide a strong foundation - although lack of updates can easily to frustration.
If I may I have some suggestions:
1. All updates should include not only notes, but apropriate changes in the wiki at the same time - especially if something has been moved or functions differently.
2. A new updated thorough manual should be written to be included with v4.0, if for no other reason than I beieve it will help with sales enormously, and as my first sales manager said many years ago, the deal's not over until the paperwork is done.
RapidComposer is an extraordinary effort that in my mind is a dream machine and a daily adventure in music making.

Again, the videos referenced in the post in question are for an outdated version of RC, the correct version is on the site in the v3 link.

I take your opinion seriously. Yes, the wiki should be improved and updated. Especially the 'Basics' chapter is in bad condition. Other chapters were updated recently ("Phrase Generators", "Rhythm Generators", "Chord Voicings").
I am planning an even better solution than the wiki or a static pdf manual. All the help could be embedded in RapidComposer so whenever you open a menu or window, you could get an interactive explanation. The first such attempt is the built in Quick Start Tutorial, which is available by clicking on the small 'book' button in the right top corner. I have received no feedback about it, whether it is useful or not for new users. There are tooltips everywhere which should also help.
Thanks,
Attila

I meant to comment on the Quick Start Tutorial when it was introduced, but forgot - my bad. I found it a very helpful and a convenient resource. The graphics are cool as hell, too. I'm really glad you are considering expanding it's use as "an interactive explanation."
In a program as complex as RC, knowing where to go to get quick answers is a life saver and with this solution I think you're on the right track. The tool tips are thorough, but act sluggishly sometimes -even at top speed (although the fault may be my impatience - again, my bad.)
RC is a wonder now. I can't imagine the future but look forward to it.
