What's a good DAW to switch to from Cakewalk?

I think DP has pigeon-holed themselves into a composers only DAW for what reasons I don't know why. But it's an extremely powerful DAW that is somewhat lost in the sauce nowadays.

The reputation was undoubtedly brought about by film-scorer patronisation for many years.

MOTU used this as a selling point during that time, and since then it's flown under the radar.

Btw I ended up getting both ableton live 10 suite and cubase pro 10. Got some good deals and wanted the best of both worlds.
