[Unsure if this belongs here or in the FX forum. Happy to move if nec.]

So I have the basic setup in Cubase for vocoders and other MIDI triggered FX:

1. Set up Audio track with Vocodex as an effect
2. Set up MIDI track and route Vocodex to it.

Easy. Now I can trigger the effect using Vocodex's internal synth.

However, what I would like to do, is use Vocodex with an external synth. Specifically, I'd like to use one of the lavish choir patches in Omnisphere. Essentially make a choir sing the words I would like it to.
I've tried to follow the various instructions for this online, but can't seem to unlock the secret specific to Cubase. Also, does it require using Vocodex's sidechain mode?

Can anyone provide (or point to) a simple step-by-step that I can follow to accomplish this?
All suggestions appreciated.
Cheers

I don't have it myself but it was recently described in another (non English) forum, asked specifically for Cubase, so I'm putting it here (roughly translated):

1. Add Stereo group track
2. Pan Modulator track (e.g. vocals, loops etc.) to left and route to group track
3. Pan Carrier track (e.g. synth VST) to right and route to group track
4. Load Vocodex in group track
5. Set Vocodex to L-R encoding

Thank you for your prompt advice, NU. Will try later today. Fingers crossed... :D
