Does Best Service have the best price on the crossgrade to Pro?

Maybe in theory they have, but in practice they are unable to deliver. I think people are still waiting after ordering from them two weeks ago. And there website shows at least two weeks delivery.

Surely better to just pay a little extra and get the boxed version and next day delivery from a brick shop retailer as many of have done.

With regard to the crossgrade to the full version of cubase 10 pro, that costs about 150 quid -

If you can't be bothered waiting or having to send proof of your original purchase, Gear4Music don't ask you for anything, they just ship the box with the dongle in it out to you an hour after paying. A full and highly legal boxed copy of cubase 10 pro (inc. eLicenser) will then be winging its way to you within minutes...

I'm assuming most people here will have a qualifying DAW. (not encouraging anyone to do anything highly illegal)

:o

I already own a couple of licenses for Elements for machines away from home and laptops. The workflow in Cubase is excellent. I don't need it but it's nice and quick to play about with when arranging stems etc.

I bought my first copy 30 years ago in 89 (cubase 1.0 for Atari) and the first ever VST version for pc in 97 (vst 3.5). And probably another couple of versions again at some point.

I'm using Studio One most the time and I'm really happy with it. Still really happy with Ableton 9 standard as well. They compliment well.

I'm tending to use Cubase more for the last step in the process as it's super fast and stable when dragging and copying and duplicating parts. No extra keyboard input needed, no menu surfing - everything there to just copy and duplicate with one click and one hand. No other program I have offers the exact same functionality. It's a real pleasure to work with.

Looking forward to trying out the included VST's. Hopefully they will be a bit better quality than Neon and Wunderverb! And hopefully I'll be able to use them in other hosts.

Gonna wait until 10.5 comes on the scene before I activate it, then dive right in.

I'll still be using Energy XT2 and FLStudio for my initial scratch pads and getting ideas together, though...

I had no issue paying €179. Delivered and activated the day after ordering.

Did you use a coupon at Audiodeluxe? I see the price there as $166, but for just $4 I could order direct from Steinberg. I already have an eLicenser, so don't need a physical copy/delivery, and have several other DAWs, so am in no rush (so long as it eventually comes).

If I understand correctly, is it the case that I can sit on the license number and wait until version 10.5 comes out, which would normally be a paid upgrade?

I think it's better to purchase the boxed version of cubase in a shop , you get the dongle and the discount :tu:

Just noticed this on the Steinberg website ..................

"Due to the high demand, considerably long delivery times are to be expected. Please excuse this delay".

Just checked where I bought my boxed version from and they are running out of stock.

Same thing where I bought mine. Shows 'in stock in 2-5 days' and then, after that interval, it shows that again. Paying €30 more than the discounters paid off in my case.

Isn't this a deal that happened in the last as well? I reference to 50% from 2017.

It was £279. Not quite as good as the current offer.

Thanks, everyone. Just purchased from Gear4Music - let's see what shows up, and when.

I do qualify for the crossgrade, and it will be interesting to see if they ever ask me for proof. I assume you don't need to send Steinberg the proof directly before registering the serial?
