The first post gives a brief overview of what is new.
If you want to go in depth and go West coast I would suggest to read the manual.

AFAIK CPU use increased when using wavetables in v1.2 and a little more in v2 when using the Wavetable or Scope views in the hexagon. It's advised to switch to another view in the hexagon when not being used, if CPU usage is a concern.ckoe wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2019 1:33 pm The CPU load is much higher on my laptop i3 as it was on Hive1.0
Always Read the Manual!

Hi,
tried a bit the demo now. Very nice
I wonder if there is some kind of waveshaping or cross-OSC-FM available?

Not in realtime. You can do waveshaping or FM with UHM scripts to generate wavetables, that's it.

No, not in realtime. A bit of a pity, but in line with them keeping it a "reasonable CPU synth" I guess....Hanz Meyzer wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2019 2:28 pm Hi,

Incorrect. Hive is very CPU efficient, and Zebra 2 too, comparatively to everything it can do.Halonmusic wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2019 3:20 pmU-he synths is always high on CPUckoe wrote: Sat Jun 01, 2019 1:33 pm The CPU load is much higher on my laptop i3 as it was on Hive1.0

Uhe deserve every ounce of respect for this update.
So many new features and things to explore, some of the new presets really showcase the new possibilities.
The new function generators open new possibilities
Fail: Still only 16 steps in the Arp? Please No and Why?
Are we running out of memory? or is Hives interface philosophy actually fighting against it?
