Never took to Bitwig. I bought a boxed version, spent a few months trying to get into it but I never got comfortable. I ended up selling it and going back to Orion.

Actually, I believe it's a perfect fit for you! It's easy to use but powerful and more important it can be a perfect live performance. I believe it's the best replacement to Orion.

I've just purchased the upgrade to 2.5.1 after selling Studio one and Live 9. Those three are my favourites but Bitwig 2.5.1 integrates like a dream with Maschine mikro and nektar controllers.

I bought also Cubase Elements 10 yesterday. It's nice, but I won't waste my money on more than Elements. But for $42 NZD it is hard to resist even though I have no need to it except I spent many years with Cubase, so I just feel I should have at least the Elements version.

I voted for Other, which in my case are MuLab and MetaSynth/Xx
They're not for everyone, but I really enjoy those 'synth environments'

Post

That's the proof: KVR users hate themselves.

Yeah, that's what everyone said, which is why I bought it, but they were wrong. So far Cubase had been great. I've got a lot more done in a few weeks with it than I did in several months with Bitwig and I feel far more comfortable with it than I ever did with Bitwig.

My Maschine Mikro got packed back in it's box and has been in storage since about a month after I bought it. The software easily justifies the purchase but the controller is something I just don't need. I think my bandmate still has his set up, though.

* Sorry, you set yourself up for that I just couldn't resist.

I have used Sonar (now Cakewalk by Bandlab) since 2004, and also have Cubase but Sonar/Cakewalk is my main DAW.

How would you come to hate (or love) something you don't use?

Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. They voted they use it, not they like to use it.

How about "used"?

I have a Nektar P6 and Bitwig 8 track.

Every time I hear someone say how great Bitwig is,and because of the Nektar integration, I boot it up and have another go. Each time I decide its not for me - but strangely, I get on fine with Live Lite 8 track which has no integration.

I can never find the menus in Bitwig, where are they hidden ? or is that all of them ?
