Its a cool synth, enjoyed demoing it- but way overpriced in my opinion. You need the FX - so the cost is 350 - that puts it at the same cost as UVI Falcon which as far as I can tell (I own Flacon) is far better in most ways that matter to me- 15+ Osc types, 80+ Fx, better modulation, everything unlimited, scripting GUI creation etc etc…
The snap in FX are pretty basic (compared to say Thorus and Sparkleverb etc inc in Falcon) and I cant see any use for them outside of the synth witout the multiband splitter (which is more money...)
So- good synth, sounds very good, like the simple modular concept but way too expensive compiared to say Avenger (haldf the cost) or Falcon (same cost but with a 100E voucher and in my opinion you gte a lot more for your money)

I already own KHS One. Here is the very "generous" upgrade offer I get........

I have a feeling that they want as many people as possible to choose the subscription-model..

Subscription or not, the price stays the same.

I agree, for the $199 version you get 3-Band EQ, Chorus, Delay, Gain, Limiter, Stereo, Compressor, Distortion, Filter, Phaser, Reverb. Not bad.sinemotor wrote: Mon Jun 03, 2019 12:57 pm No you don't NEED all the FXs. I think the 199€ version is enough for most purposes and you can get really deep without even using FXs at all.
If I need more than that I can add them in my DAW.

It is a real shame there is no intro price. Would have snapped this up straight away. I don't know how much point there would be if i was only going to use it with my other Fx...the whole point of this synth is the workflow. Obv i would use other fx alongide it, but being able to build up the mian sound in the synth itself is a major thing.
They do subscription now?
I don't understand why more companies dont do rent to own - far superior and much more popular with people it seems. Would do that in a heartbeat too! might give in and demo it later, i have just held off in case i fall in love.
Has this one turned out to be extremely popular then? It is hard to guage how many people have bought this thing. It does seem to be creating a bit of a buzz though, which is good. nice to have people developing more complex systems.

Maybe so, but without the fx it isn't really an integrated modular approach and a lot of the GUI is wasted! 199E puts it against Avenger for me which has 8 oscillator types and 30 FX etc - I know its not all about 'quantity' but this is what you get with a synth costing the same: https://www.vengeance-sound.com/plugins.php so for me this is a synth that should be less than that with all of the fx bundled. It will probably do a 50% at some point, I will have another look then, I like the FM features, I like the synth, I don't like the cost of the plug in fx as an 'extra cost 'model'!sinemotor wrote: Mon Jun 03, 2019 12:57 pm No you don't NEED all the FXs. To be fair, regular price should be compared not sale vs regular prices. MSoundFactory is regularily €299 vs Phase Plant $349USD (€313 @ todays exchange rates), same with UVI Falcon $349US . At the moment MSF is on sale as mentioned for €99. Remember there will be a €60 license transfer fee on that if you decide to transfer in the future.

Sure, but they are both ‘launch’ prices, and MSoundFactory is actually 89E after the 10E discount they give you for subscribing to their newsletter - plus you get ‘free updates for life’ (no need to buy more snap ins) and M update a lot! I’m not trying to diminish PP, as I said, I liked it a lot...the difference is I bought MSoundFactory 30 minutes after demoing as a no brainierplexuss wrote: Mon Jun 03, 2019 7:09 pmTo be fair, regular price should be compared not sale vs regular prices.
