get an e-mail for an NI survey?
with a chance to win a 40 gig hard drive.
(if I am the only one I should have a good shot at winning, eh?)
some not so subtle questions
how much do you spend a year on music software?
I was doing ok in euros, but even a quick spin in dollars and it adds up to a startling number
then the loaded question about what would be a reasonable price for a Komplete upgrade for 3 a product set?
as a package?
or better as single offerings?
NI knows they have us hooked I'm afraid
given I've told them as much by indicating I have a stronger interest in some of their products after buying Komplete than I did before
NI offerings currently dominate my wish list

I didn't get it. You must be one of some lucky few. How many registered users can there be I wonder?

Well, the Lyndhurst (OH) Sam Ash & Guitar Center both have a copy of Komplete2 in-stock for $499, so I guess it wasn't THAT hot...cptgone wrote:I didn't get it. You must be one of some lucky few. How many registered users can there be I wonder?
Edit: I already have B-4 and Kompakt. TBH, most of what I don't have, I wouldn't miss or don't care about. I'd use Kompakt to reg the bunch and sell B-4 for cost recovery - but I have enough decent kit that FM-7, Pro-53, Absynth & Reaktor would simply be toys. If the content's decent I might pay attention to Kontakt and Intakt, but I've heard mixed reports.
(if I can't make some decent music with Sonic Synth 1/ST2LE, Kompakt, sfz+, Eve, Albino1, Alpha, z3ta+, VazPlus, Cameleon, Rhino, Dicer, Ethereal, B-4, DaOrgan, Tau2, and a bunch of free and inexpensive synths, I've got bigger problems. Right now the only things I'm eyeing are Ravity, ImpOscar and/or WN ZeroVector and/or Tera2).

looks like it's a cinch for me to win that 40 gig drive then
but now I'm also getting a bit paranoid. why would I be the only one -- alphabetical order?
