I am so impressed with the instrument (gui) maker, so easy to use! This thing has everything!
Once the sampler is in you will realy be able to design just about any synths with their own interface etc and (it seems like) distribute (sell?) with a free player version of MSF....

Question about LFOs.
By default, LFOs retrigger with each note on. Is there a non retrigger or free running mode? I can't seem to find one.

The standard modulators have lots of trigger options including none (which is set by selecting none of the check boxes, like so):
Don't see any such options for the Per Voice LOFs, and I can just hear Vojtech responding that for Per Voice modulators to be free running would be "silly":)
Still, I'd guess you'd be more likely to get good results posting tech queries like this over in the Melda forums than out here in no-man's land…

Use the modulators. Here's an example, copy the below code and paste it into the synth (Toolbar pane, below the A/B button)

Anyway, I found a workaround. It's not perfect but it achieves ALMOST the same effect.
Still, how do you NOT have a free running LFO option? I mean what planet are these guys on?

IMO. it's still a workaround. Why can't I just pull up LFO 1, set it to free run with a click in a box somewhere and be done with it?
It's extra steps that shouldn't be necessary. My workaround was the same number of steps so no time was saved.

The regular LFO's are per voice modulators, which means they only run when a note is played, with a separate instance of the LFO per note. So if you play a 4-note chord, there will also be 4 LFO's running independently.
The modulators are global so they're more suitable to use as a free running LFO.
Wags, you're a stubborn dude

Well, if getting new features turns existing features into workarounds…you ARE a stubborn dude:)

I understand about the per voice thing. I'm just used to doing things a certain way.Reefius wrote: ↑Fri Jun 07, 2019 1:59 am The regular LFO's are per voice modulators, which means they only run when a note is played, with a separate instance of the LFO per note. Having said that, the global modulators are extremely powerful and I can see a lot of uses for them, as I noticed when I did my first workaround.
Yeah, I'm stubborn but I'm not stupid. If I have to use them to do what I want to do, I'll use them. As long as there's a way to get done whatever it is I need to get done.
