Sorting VSTs/REs in Reason?

Have moved to Reason as my main DAW after a good while of using it in conjunction with Tracktion.
I love how I can see the GUIs for all my gear in the browser, but is there any other way of sorting them than by manufacturer?
I have my VST folder arranged by function (compressors, reverbs, EQs etc), and would like to have the same groupings in Reason.

Wrong.^^
You can add favorites to the browser by clicking the plus symbol at the bottom of the browser window.
In these favorite lists you can add any RE, refill, patch. sample or vst.

I can't stand Reason's browser. Regardless, he said he wants to see the guis in the browser screen and sort them, and you can't. The favorites don't show the GUI.
Have you tried Vital?

It does. Do your homework before spreading wrong information.

No, it doesn't - you are (intentionally or unintentionally) confusing the large GUI look in the instruments/fx/utils that he's specifically asking talking about (that can't be sorted, which is the question he asked) to a small icon in the favorites.
Granted I rarely if ever used the Reason browser if I could help it, however up until I uninstalled them a week ago the GUI didn't show in either my 9.5 Reason or 10 lite favorites list.

Actually if you add to favourites a device (instead of a preset or sample), then the thumbnail will be visiblePsuper wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2019 1:55 pmNo, it doesn't - you are (intentionally or unintentionally) confusing the large GUI look in the instruments/fx/utils that he's specifically asking talking about (that can't be sorted, which is the question he asked) to a small icon in the favorites.

If you mean in Reason's browser, and browsing by thumbnails, then the answer is yes - as pointed out above.steviemac2000 wrote: Tue Jun 04, 2019 9:21 am I have my VST folder arranged by function (compressors, reverbs, EQs etc), and would like to have the same groupings in Reason.
Or do you mean sorting by manufacturer, in your rack, after you've created a rack?
Win 10 | Ableton Live 11 Suite | Reason 13 | i7 3770 @ 3.5 Ghz | 16 GB RAM | RME Babyface Pro| Akai MPC Live 3 & Akai Force | Roland System 8 | Roland TB-3 | Roland MX-1 | Dreadbox Typhon | Korg Minilogue XD

Shaun is right, I should've spotted this myself but I guess it's not immediately obvious the favourites can be used for devices as well as actual patches.
That's my evening sorted then
