- What is the thinking behind the button called "Byome" to open the lower part of the plugin? That doesn't make sense to me, since the lower part contains the three bands that are specific to Triad. Since I don't have Byome, that is totally non-intuitive.
I'd rather call it something obvious - initially I had no idea how to open the details view.
Not a big deal. One click and it becomes obvious what it is.

I do like that some of the parameters show up now for automation (Ableton "configure" menu). Wish it extended to BYOME and did not just include the multiband parameters.

I find a big challenge with multiband effects is being able to visualise all the variables at once, to hold a clear 'picture of the sound' in order to deliberately shape it.
Triad tries to achieve this workflow by fitting it all into one window using an encyclopaedia of UI techniques. After I RTFM and figured out the logic, I could get into the zone and it works for me.
I like that you can route stereo audio out for each of the three bands plus composite which is pretty cool.

In my opinion, this would be worth $49 or more even with 0 BYOME effects, for instance.
Why? I mean it as a sincere question. All I'm seeing is a multi-band splitter (with some admittedly nifty routing capabilities). I know zilch about DSP, so there may be some impressive things going on that I wouldn't recognize.

Imho, it is a really nice upgrade for 49 when you already own byome. The extra's are worth it (for me anyway).
The routing is amazing, spectral snapping is VERY handy and in certain modes (like mid/side and parallel) the option to permutate the order, is just brilliant.
I like it a lot. Although some stuff needs to be fixed, like the scaling and i would also like to be able to see a wider canvas.

Really convoluted and non-intuitive. I want a menu to open when clicking on the + sign, everything else is really cumbersome.
Agreed 100%. I'm struggling to understand why they chose do it that way.

Same. Any thoughts on how triad does with phase cancellation between the bands?

Great work on TRIAD... worth the price as a BYOME user.

One big problem:
Even with the permutation trick Michael mentioned it's not possible to load more than one BYOME preset WITH its own modulation setup. Having a lot of great BYOME presets living from heavy modulation I'd love to put different ones on each band/lane with ease...

I have a question for those of you that are power users Byome and have now had a little time with Triad.

If I don't have either, should I just get Triad now?
Is there any reason to get Byome instead of Triad at this point?

Thanks.

So have PA monthly vouchers gone away completely? Or just for this month?

I’d like to redeem it to get the upgrade for less than $49.

In addition to what thecontrolcentre said the $49 upgrade specifically says you cannot use other vouchers with it.

Looks like an MVP (minimum viable product) approach. MVP gets my MMS (minimal money spent) and so I will pass on Triad until all the bugs, inefficiencies and down-right illogical stuff is fixed. Best of luck... :phones:
