And Wow
nobody replied.
[drunk]Quick caveat
So then, they rocked like anything, getting the crowd onto the stage for a big of a percussion jam - more interesting than lightning bolt.
However the support bands, were awful, apart from the first one, who I think (they were wearing masks!!) I used to know the guitarist and therefore were rubbish (for that reason only)
IF you wanted to hear loads of bands who thought that "tweeze" by slint was the last word in sophostication (and therefore did really bad impressions of king crimson) then these were the support bands for you.
anyway oxes ruled completely and encoured with "them bones" by alice in chains, which threw the kids around us (it did!)as they didnt have a clue. which was amusing for about 7 minutes. [/drunk]

they use to do sucha snotty isnturmental(!) cover of "everlong"... great guys too.
I like my math rock more in the braniac type vein.... most bands sound just like halfa riff of iron maiden looped WITH FEELING to prog rock extremes....

what an album
As you say that was the problem with the support bands. they were really good - if it had been 12 years ago...
