It's a disturbing thought, one I try not to dwell upon: an entire generation has never heard of the Trumpton Riots...

Haha! One man's "rounded" is another man's 'clocked'

Don't remember enjoying AA as much as JP and PSSST. Pretty sure the only Speccy game I ever completed was the Frankie Goes To Hollywood adventure :tu:

Colecovision (games actually looked and played like the arcade versions, unlike Atari or Intellivision).

"Going to the arcade" meant dark rooms filled with video games all blaring away, where quarters (in the US) were lifeblood.

Clothing brands: Members Only, Esprit, Guess?, Lacoste (so the preppies could pop the collars), Jordache, Bugle Boy.

Speaking of jeans ("Nobody calls them 'dungarees', Mom- Geez!"): acid-washed/stone-washed/pre-ripped.

More kid's stuff: Monchichi, Rainbow Brite, Danger Mouse, Smurfs, Care Bears, Cabbage Patch Kids, Garbage Pail Kids...

Taping music off the radio and hoping the damn DJ didn't talk over the end of the song.

The rich kids had their own phone and TV in their bedroom.

BE KIND-REWIND!

Novelty answering machine messages.

Satellite TV (for those who could afford the giant receiving dish).
Music can no longer soothe the worried thoughts of monarchs; it can only tell you when it's time to buy margarine or copulate. -xoxos

Miss the time like crazy, MTV had no hosts and just our rendered builder pals, music was music love performed and no autotune... and it was a more free society than today which was reflected in its music

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.
