Wait, are we talking about just dealing with samples, or actual instruments? Because quickload is just for instruments/banks/multis. And yes it does replace the currently loaded instrument if you drag&drop over it. Or right-click on a patch within QL and use "Load into slot" option.

All these years and I never knew it did that !

Quickload makes much more sense now.

Nope. It was released after Komplete 12, which means it will likely be included in K13.

It's always good to keep up to date. Soon enough there'll be non-Kontakt Player libraries that require the new functionality in K6 - you might want to have some of those...

It used to be that you could not download KFL on anything other than, NA wouldn't allow it. I thought they fixed that.

Yes they did fix that, you need to change Content path in NA preferences before starting a download. It's not ideal but there you have it.

There are new libs that require K6 - Noire piano for example - so if you are a heavy Kontakt user it’s probably a good idea.
Of course there’s the K6 player but I reckon that newer libs won’t always support that.
Right now - if you have Komplete - the upgrade price is really worth going for... K6 and Massive X for $99 are worth the price of admission alone.

Yes, although K6 might not seem from a "normal" user point of view, I'm mindful of how much was delivered in Kontakt 5.0 to 5.9(?) so I'm hoping for a similar evolution of 6

if you are upgrading, get it now for $49.50

Seems a no-brainer to me. I bought it in the pre-order stage. I personally regard Ethereal Earth as easily worth the price of admission alone.
