Does anyone have experience with this? There doesn't seem to be a demo, but I'm interested in whether it works significantly better than built-in Cubase or Ableton tools for doing the same thing. I guess GrooveExtractor claims to recognize different types of drum hits, which puts it ahead of built-in DAW tools, but I wonder how well it actually works.

No idea...
They seem to constantly change their prices also and they are extremely lacking in the manual/tutorial department...
Have u had any luck finding anything else?

Studio One does a great job of groove extraction. You need at least the Artist version which sells for $99. There are youtube videos that show how it works.

Reaper can do this with the Dynamic Split function I believe. Can't remember if it takes velocity data as well though.

Cheap, but not easy, maybe. Cakewalk does this. I haven't tried in a while, though, so good luck.

You seem to be the only person who has actually used this. At $54USD, seems like the price of entry has gone up quite a bit. I don't think I can pull the trigger on that without some type of demo at least.tommyzai wrote: ↑Thu Nov 28, 2019 3:48 pm http://lesound.io/product/grooveextractor/ (http://lesound.io/product/grooveextractor/)
