Also Synth doesnt cover whole midi keybaord and comes with no presets.
The factory library is a separate download.
Yep found that out, when i saw Massive x it was only that at the time, now downloaded the presets.

Unfortunately yes :(
I restarted Native Access 5 times and after that it was working. Be stubborn because it seems to pay off

Sound is good :) ... CPU is a bit heavy :(

From NI FAQ:
The Freeze Function of My DAW Does Not Work with MASSIVE X

Symptom

When freezing a track in your DAW with MASSIVE X loaded, the audio of the track renders incorrectly.

Solution

You must save your DAW project before applying the freeze function. Failing to do so will cause the frozen MASSIVE X track to reproduce audio from it's last saved point.
Come on NI

No standalone version?

Those comments always make me laugh.
Sure, and, no. Often when new synths come with something innovative then this is an easy statement to make. I make no secret that I'm a super fan of the technology in Blocks, and, consequently, what NI has been doing for the last few years. I use the hell out of the Monark filter. So, to see that in a new poly with an interesting complex oscillator and fantastic modulation makes it easy to see that this is a synth that will become a goto for many kinds of sounds.

It will probably be the non-modular synth that I spend the most time with for the rest of the year. Look, it's not like everyone can compete here. I basically look for new stuff from NI and Uhe, everyone else trails in some way. So, my "goto synth" will be something that they put out and you can often predict that before the synth even comes out.

LoveEnigma18 wrote: Thu Jun 27, 2019 11:55 am As confirmed on NI forums and as I doubted before, Massive X will be a separate product with no update/upgrade path. Guys and gals, get Komplete 12 if you haven't yet.
What does that mean? No upgrade path?
It means that if you own Massive there is no discount.
Not sure I understand what that has to do with Komplete 12 but ok, thanks!

Oh well at least Massive still works.
wow so this won't work with an AMD cpu?

No standalone. No VST3. No import of your own wavetables, no import of old Massive presets. No visible modulation (in Serum or Phase Plant you see the movement of the parameters). No MPE. Very rudimentary preset browser. If you change a parameter in the envelope section, like the Attack, this is not reflected in the graphic below. Even Massive could do that.

Massive is one good-sounding and terribly unfinished product.

Let's hope it's not another one of the long line of recent NI products where they release something kind of finished, promise to fix it down the line and never do.

All the factory presets are very abstract...seems geared towards film makers or ambient....

I wish there were some conventional presets as well.....

I agree, but it does sound good. If the choice was to make it rock solid with fewer bells and whistles, then I'm ok with that for now. Hopefully they've chosen to try and stay on top with their standalone synths this time.

Not at all. Check this list for your CPU: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Advanced_ ... s_with_AVX
