You're not convincing me that you can hear artifacts that are beyond the 24-bit noise floor level.
You can't hear the obvious glitchiness of that sound? Around the 10 sec mark it makes a cool high pitch swooshing sound. I don't even know what aliasing is, but there is def something there.

Just for giggles, I popped it into RX. Frikkin cool looking.

Should have done more reading. It's in 48khz, if your playback system is below (44,1khz) then it's going to have artifacts. Multiple people already confirmed that no artifacts occur at 48khz.

One more, with the noise floor moved to -170 db and the frequency scale set to linear. Really cool looking.

And yes, I can hear it. And unless there's something wrong, my DAW is set to 48 by default.

these neon splines look pretty.

Well, you must have golden ears then. Not quite unlike Hans Zimmer, claiming that he can hear whenever something is made in Logic or in Cubase.

Distortion is fun.

Haven't gotten the feedback quite where I want it (and since I have no use for this patch, who cares). But there will be much guitar emanating from this synth.

(and I dont' know why I can never play dropbox links directly; always have to open in another tab...?)

For what it's worth, if you have distortion somewhere in your playback system, that can also cause you to hear aliasing.

When I play the WAV file on my system, with a sample rate of 48kHz, at a sane and unclipped volume, there is no audible aliasing on my studio monitors or in my closed-back headphones. I honestly think something isn't right in the way your system is playing the file.

The internet is chock full of such people, and they cluster around anything created by people who have any talent whatsoever like flies around shit.

It’s that simple. Sorry to be blunt.

Look how Sad Candlewick has deflected this thread away from talking about Massive X, and instead focused everyone here around arguing about his fly shit.

It’s really sick, and people should just stop feeding such pimples online, and this includes one stupid country’s current Fearless Leader.

They’re all the same: ignore them.
Dude. Not cool.
Okay. Sorry. I'm rarely that rabid online, but something about this whole, useless obsession over -132db levels of aliasing has ticked me off, don't know why.

Listen to Serebro's "Mi Mi Mi" to heal, if needed. :)

It's probably my AirPods, lol. Not quite HiFi.

Oh God, my wife has that on her Nintendo Wii dancing game thing. Stupid catchy.

had some fun with Massive X although it's just that underlying pad playing the filtered supersaw and the filtered reese. But I'll be honest, I have absolutely _never_ been able to get a reese like this out of a synth without any additional processing. The only thing I did there was just monoing lows with the reese. The filtered supersaws are another story, but still, they got that staple & standard supersaw sound without costing an arm & a leg CPU-wise

It's cute, I think, and hilarious.

Looked at Sadowick's channel; he has done quite a lot online, much of it looks interesting and useful. Again, my apologies. Still think he should focus on something else for awhile, though.... As should I. ;)

So, this alleged aliasing, is really only an issue at lower sample rates, right? If you run your session at 88.2 or higher, you wouldn’t need oversampling per say, because the aliasing issue would disappear right?
