I'm pretty sure of it too, and I have absolutely no connection to NI. NI is not clueless when it comes to modern U/I development, look at any of their Reaktor synths, they put a LOT of effort into providing runtime info for the user. However, the static envelopes seem like a significant step backward. One could argue that they're there to explain the basic features, but pdxindy is right, that's a lot of wasted real estate just for that.

So I firmly believe that the intention was for them to be active parts of the U/I but a decision was made early in this release cycle to make them static so that the effort could be put into making the sound engine reliable.

To be fair. That sounds plausible.
I mean, there is just so much stuff in there. All these modes. Just the reverb has tone of modes. The NLL has several amp emulations hidden away. So I guess they got carried away with the sounds stuff and neglected other stuff like the UI.

The preset show up in my demo, but the wavetables and noise don't. No joke.

I read - and assumed - that working on Mac OS 10.12 as the minimum suggested would ensure I would be partying with Massive X... but no!!
My 2010 iMac that runs like a dream doesn’t have AVX... which I just found out after upgrading to Komplete 12:( Bummer!
So as a warning... Macs earlier than 2011 won’t work with Massive X.
I don't think it's NI's responsibility for users to know what kind of computers they have and what's in them.
Exactly. They're not supposed to tell you whether your computer has Windows 7, or 10, or if your CPU has 2 or 4 GHz as well. It was communicated pretty early that Massive X would require a AVX capable CPU. Sometimes i really have to wonder.

You could just buy the synth. The wavetables work fine there.

It is an inexcusable omission on ANY synth in 2019. Even my 5080 from 20 years ago has it.

I just deleted the non-working demo but kept the noisetables. Everything was installed fine.

I just deleted the nonfunction demo but kept the Noisetables. Everything was installed fine.

Maybe contact support?
I downloaded and installed the synth and the presets pack together. Then on first lauch, the synth scanned all the resources et voila, all set to go. No problems here.
Did you add the presets pack later on?
