Frankly, there seem to be (very few) people here who are only in for the trolling. Seriously, inform yourself about aliasing, before making stupid vids, with complete misinformation.
Really unbelievable, what a amount of crap this already produced in this thread alone...

Pretty sure VR = Voice RandomizationFunctional wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:28 pmThere is no traditional arp but you can use the performer like one. However, it's not going to be quite as simple to use as traditional arps but it is more capable on the other hand.bartoszkwiecinski wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:23 pm Hey Guys.
Can someone explain how to make sequencens with Massive X?
Is there an arp?
What is the exact funktion of the VR Modulator?
Someone figured those things out?
Btw: great Synthesizer to play with the ears and not looking on animated Displays![]()
VR modulator: I'm not sure, I think we have to wait for manual for that. I mean, name implies virtual reality, but I have no idea what that means. It makes no sense.

you can use an occulus rift for 6d modulation control.Functional wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:28 pm

I assumed it would be like that too... however all it does is lower the level of the whole env. Turn it all the way down and the envelope is silenced completely. Maybe it's a bug.Functional wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:21 pmI think it's the peak between attack & decay stage. So if it's lower than sustain, the decay phase will actually increase to the sustain level rather than stay at same level (with max sustain) or lower to the sustain level. Don't quote me on this, but this seems logical.pdxindy wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:09 pm Speaking of the MX envelopes, it is not clear to me what the Peak parameter is above the Attack stage. It seems to behave as just another version of Env Level.

This is going down as an ALL Timer KVR thread.
The post above this is likely bait, viewer discretion is advised.

Yeah, no arp or step sequencer. The performers can function as parameter sequencers, but not note re-triggering.chk071 wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:24 pm No arp.
Actually, that's something i'm missing as well. Not sure why, when i have a arp both in my DAW, and as outboard fx.There's something comfortable, and immediate to have it on board.

Voice Random. Every voice gets a random value, then it's cycled.Functional wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:28 pmVR modulator: I'm not sure, I think we have to wait for manual for that. I mean, name implies virtual reality, but I have no idea what that means. It makes no sense.

No, not at all. I didn't mean that negatively. NI hasn't made a regular VST synth in a long time.gentleclockdivider wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:30 pmDunno if being sarcastic or notpdxindy wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 5:31 pmYeah, plus NI is inexperienced with non Reaktor synths. With say U-he, if they make a new synth, they already have the preset browser, undo/redo code, MPE code, midi configuration, voice architecture etc.
NI has been making Reaktor synths which depend on all that stuff in Reaktor.

Seriously, this amount of whining is stellar at this point. This is like asking a crying baby "Why are you crying?" and watch the baby try to come up with the answer: the baby doesn't usually even know

This is just pathetic.
I tell my opinion about software.
You start criticizing my personality.
If you want to see what whining is, you can start reading your comment.

First point: although yeah, they didn't, but there's more to it. The whole bottom segment is always occupied by something. If we're talking about wasted space, the "Voice" option has very little in it compared to how much space it takes. You could probably cram Repro-5 into that space altogether. Even if they have no intention for the graphical representation, there is going to be wasted space because each "page" has 3 modulator slots. So even if envelopes took much less space, they would have to occupy same amount of space as LFO modulators. Compare this to Serum where you have to switch between individual LFO's and envelopes.pdxindy wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:27 pmDiva didn't waste like 10% of the GUI space on a useless graphic.Functional wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:15 pmThe point is that I can't recall people complaining about that in Diva, like ever.
Also, the Diva envelopes are simple and easy to see at a glance. Especially the sliders essentially serve as a visual representation.
If you think about it this way, you can clearly see that the actual size of that whole segment is decided not by envelopes necessarily but the LFO modulators and/or Performer modulators and/or the T modulators (which would still have to take up all that space regardless). At minimum the performer would have to, even if you'd pack everything else tightly.
About the second point: that I can agree with, it's easier to see at a first glance what's going on especially because of the sliders. I can see why they don't have sliders here (the UI really begs for knobs for most elements) but knobs beg for graphs.

Peak parameter is maximum amplitude of the envelope. Effectively scales it.pdxindy wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:30 pmI assumed it would be like that too... however all it does is lower the level of the whole env. Besides, if there are numeric numbers and undo history, I can decide to use them or to not use them. If they are not there, I can’t decide.pdxindy wrote: Sat Jun 29, 2019 6:07 pm None... There is only disadvantage
I think the lack of numeric display on a synth as complex as MX is stupid.

No, I started criticizing your behavior. You're trying to find every smallest excuse you can to complain about a great synth. A lot of people here agree that it feels a bit rushed but you're literally painting demons on the wall because apparently a magnifying glass to you has to mean a search function. See how pdxindy criticizes MX; no whining, no BS.
Also to be honest, if you're content with using FilterScape UI (which is an ages old product that has a really off-putting UI, this was before u-he stepped up their game bigtime in regards to their UI game) and you can't live with Massive X UI, the problem is in you, not in MX.
