Is it typical for NI to release a product like this with no manual?
If so, how long does it take for them to release one?
Stumbling around in the dark is fun but without a manual I always feel like I'm missing something or that I am doing things the hard way.

Nope. But, they already stated that it will be available shortly.Local Man wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2019 3:57 pm Is it typical for NI to release a product like this with no manual?
I'm afraid, i'll need it as well, for some things... but, that's just because this synth is very complex, and, does some things differently. OK, the GUI is not too intuitive as well.

When the Rate knob is set to minimum it's still not zero, so eventually the phase will change. I actually did a test, I stretched a midi note for 20 minutes and bounced it down. In my case phase changed after 4 minutes and 16 seconds. So I guess it's safe to use Switcher LFO in "?" mode as a random function. But Random LFO works even better for that purpose. If you set it to 1shot mode - it doesn't change its phase at all.sinemotor wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2019 2:26 pm Question for MX users :
When I use the "?" shape (in the LFO Switcher) with the minimum LFO Rate value, is it similar to using the Voice Randomizer modulator ?
Without manual and without value display it's difficult to have a precise idea.
My idea is to use an LFO that behaves the same way as a Voice Randomizer. Meaning that each time you trigger a new note the value of the parameter changes. But unlike a standard LFO, the value doesn't change as long as the note is triggered. If that makes sense...

I'm trying to remember another one, but, it may have happened before with, e.g., Replika or something, don't quote me on that.Local Man wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2019 3:57 pm Is it typical for NI to release a product like this with no manual?

I don't know anything about development at NI, but, pdxindy is right in that they are relatively new to native development, funny that I know, in that they haven't done stuff like this in a while. They gave up on more than a few products some years back rather than update them and I'm guessing that's related to some internal talent/organization issues.
Their Kontakt and Reaktor development processes seem very stable and mature and those teams seem to get the time to put out careful releases. They've had some growing pains with their native plugins though. This isn't the first native plugin with issues. I remember that Replica caused a bunch of graphics issues.
A lot of their other stuff has partners, e.g., softube, and so it's hard to say how much of the development is outsourced. I think that even Absynth's developer is not an employer but was/is contracted. Maybe someone here knows better than I do?
