What standarts? Its a discussion about musical instrument ment to create a form of art called music.

No i didnt, but i know what you mean (guilty for mocking sometimes :-( ) but it is a response to a guy in general making up standarts :-)

What the hell is a standart ?

Stan Dart is a musician.

I think Massive X was a bit rushed, and will improve over time with updates, this isn't the finished product, and those with issues i'm sure will get resolved.

I am not bitter about the AVX issue, meaning I cannot use it, but I would genuiely liked to have seen the unoptimised version (Standard VST) to see just how much of a CPU killer it is on my system, if it ground it to a halt, then obviously the AVX makes a massive difference.

I am just not buying it atm.
Don't trust those with words of weakness, they are the most aggressive

I am having a real blast with this thing.
Some complaints;

-No value readout of knobs (so weird and not handy)
-Only 1 filter (i don't count the Utility)
-No panning per OSC
-No panning per Noice Gen
-No way to change the order of the FX (X, Y and Z)
-No MOD overview (can be handy)

Overal very happy with the sound, the possibilities and the workflow. The routing page and LFO's are truly fun :D

^^
No way to bypass the fx!

Monkey Man wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2019 5:14 pmDo you guys think there's any chance NI might allow it to be run on non-AVX systems.
I mean, I'm sure I'm not the only one who'd be happy to take the hit rather than be without the VI altogether.
I very much doubt that they took the decision to mandate AVX lightly which would mean that they must have integrated it deeply into the code meaning there is no easy way back.
On top of that when you see how unfinished this software seems to be they have other priorities.
Time to move on if you have old hardware.
Thanks man.

Being on the last (2012) cheese grater and not subscribing to the iMac / Mac mini / Laptop paradigm for my room means that as a Mac guy my journey forward is fraught with financial difficulty... and will progress slowly. Too bad; I've been looking forward to this synth for quite a while it's one of the reasons I ordered Komplete.

No way to bypass the fx!
Right-click on the FX block in Routing section to bypass it.

I think Massive X was a bit rushed
apart from the initial period between the original an vX, it was 6 months late.... rushed?

HILARIOUS!

Well, at least it's there, right? It's not "no way to bypass the FX". :)

It's not ideal, though. I do think that clicking on the icons next to module names would make sense to work as a bypass. Seems logical, and I pitched it to the team, so they're aware of it :)

ghettosynth wrote: Sun Jun 30, 2019 9:09 pm Apples/Oranges, I was just saying that it's not at all CPU heavy. I would have to test further, but it seemed that Pigments was demanding more CPU, probably the U/I. It doesn't feel, for example, like Diva did on my 2600k when I first got it. Of course, my memory may be skewed, I suppose I could actually compare them, if I cared more.
huh? I was agreeing that MX is really light on CPU...
Yes, indeed. I misread, I've had my nap now.
I have a project open (96khz) and I put MX in and picked a random pad sound, set polyphony to 64 and Env release to max and my Mac Mini handled all those voices just fine. Very impressive considering the amount of audio rate modulations!
Makes you almost wish that there was a non-AVX version to get a comparison.

Well you can also 'bypass' by selecting the 'off' from the fx dropdown list. It will keep the dialled settings, and you can reload the effect later, if you want to (un-bypass it, so to speak).

However both methods are not elegant, not convenient and not really a bypass, where you just hit a button and not think about anything more than that.

Same goes for the filter and other modules. You know, in software, important functions usually have several ways to do them, not just one, and a clumsy one at that.
