I didn't know who he was. I just looked up his SoundCloud page.Spencer Maddox wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 4:31 pmAlright...Yeah. If you don't know who Virtual Riot is your Not in the Market he makes music forForgotten wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 4:12 pmNever heard of him so I looked him up. His only claim to fame is that he had a number 20 hit on the US Dance Charts 3 years ago.Functional wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 4:04 pmThis may seem like a bad thing but it actually is a good thing. A lot of people were worried (to a degree, even me) that Massive will be oriented heavily towards that kind of userbase whereas what we got was something that not many necessarily expected, at least not entirely. Problem here is that synths that appeal to Virtual Riot type of stuff are already plentiful and all around.neodeavid wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 2:19 pm VIRTUAL RIOT IS NOT FEELING MASSIVE X

Not sure why people think that these opinions are somehow equivalent to coherent arguments.![]()

I'm definitely not in the market for his music. To those who are, that's fine for them. After playing some of his music, I think there probably aren't enough wub wub presets in Massive X to suit his tastes.
I'm involved with photography & audio. For more info, take a look at my site:

Hmmm, what video shows the aliasing issue?
I suspect that maybe the effect of harmonic distortion of detuned oscillators was confused for aliasing. Harmonic distortion of two or more oscillators can create harmonics below each oscillator's fundamental frequency.

I believe Aliasgate started around page 170 (give or take). There was a follow-up video as well. Don't dig too hard in this thread though, your brainpower is better spent on Zebra 3Urs wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 4:49 pm Hmmm, what video shows the aliasing issue?

Lol... just wanted to post the link, and now i see that he deleted the videos, and instead uploaded some videos explaining Massive X's components.Urs wrote: Mon Jul 01, 2019 4:49 pm Hmmm, what video shows the aliasing issue?

Really a shame. Would have liked to know what you think about it, as my knowledge about aliasing is really limited.
Maybe the videos are still available, somewhere in the deep butthole of the internet.
Edit: Just saw ghettosynth posted the link.
