Won't happen. That's just an illustration by someone who wanted a tracker interface in FLS.

Post

The words "tracker editor" in the top left corner is a clear give-away.

Post

i don´t c the point in this... floops already behaves like a tracker (albeit with a grafx interface) in step sequencer mode...

Post

The point of a tracker is the editor itself, not the pattern/step sequencing. And there's nothing in FL that has anything to do with tracking, it's just a pattern based step sequencer with piano roll and audio recording. It would be nice to see such tracker in FL, although without tracker's effects wouldn't be such usable as real trackers. But still, I love programming drums and basslines in tracker editor!

Post

what kind of drums and basslines are you prone to program in tracker editors, i'm not familiar with them and would like to know what is exactly they do for you?

Post

Well, normal drums and basslines :) I just like the way you input the "notes" in trackers with keyboard, I like this much better than drawing them with mouse. Of course when I need more human feel I use midi keyboard for recording them into piano roll sequencer. But for programming them, trackers are the sh*t! That's why I would like to have a program that has both type of sequencers. Maybe the new VST trackers will make my wish come true, like reViSiT and the new Skale tracker. Gotta play a bit more with those when I'll have the time.

If you want a tracker in FL Studio just go to:

http://www.metamacro.com/awezoom/skale/

and use that instead. It loads up as a VSTi

Post

thanks tha_man ,i'm getting my head around it. so then if you make funk, hiphop or jazz a tracker would probably not lend itself well to those styles of drums and bass programming, it's maybe for more straight forward stuff am i correct in that? and another thing, what might be the easiest one that you know of to learn?

Post

where'd you find that? somwthingaweful.com?

Post

skale, aweful? aww.. I never actually tried it but looking at the screenshots it's just like good old FT2. Now can't be that bad can it? :D
