Your words were as far from offensive as is humanly possible, I never said otherwise.
Regular forum posters refers to those like ttoz, banned means banned I. e. you actually have to take responsibility for what you post rather than 'sorry Ben' means you get reinstaed. I only edited as TBH the unfairness bothers me but ultimately, and vary clearly, I don't give a f**k about what you Warren or Nando think about my OS choice, I just wish you'd keep your dick inside threads that need your input

And I am bothered (bovvered) I got an infraction simply for posting in a topic which apparently I had no business posting in. Sure you'll appreciate the similarities with this thread and the Doze crew.

Are you listening to yourself? It might be on the same die but it's still a GPU, just an integrated one.Forgotten wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 12:03 amIt does graphics if it has integrated graphics cores built into the CPU die, and it certainly does more than math - it also handles logic operations, control instructions, input/output, and anything else its instruction set covers.
I have given you many already, from Finder crashing at least once a day to After Effects crashing regularly and the $2000 Quadro graphics in my last Mac Pro card having trouble rendering web pages. Then there was the incident where OS X was unable to draw an application GUI on a classroom full of G3s. Overall, I'd estimate it would take me around two years to encounter as many stability issues as I do on the MacPro every, single week. TO be fair, I probably spend 50% more time on the Mac per week than I do on my PC, so we'll just say I have more problems in a week on my Mac Pro at work than I do in a year on my much lower spec PC at home. The crazy thing about it is I doubt I ever use the Mac Pro hard enough that CPU use gets into double-digits, except when its' rendering (which is hands-off stuff), whereas I regularly push my PC to it's limits.
Spoken like a total douchebag! Why think about how much harder you make it for people to follow the thread, as long as you don't have to waste half-a-dozen keystrokes removing the parts of the quoted post you aren't responding to.2. I'll do as I please.
Clearly that's not true at all. It may have the potential to be so but Apple don't seem to care much about making it so. It's not hard to take something that's perfectly stable and f**k it up beyond all recognition. MacOS proves this amply, don't you think?MacOS is is inherently more stable.

Based on you latest posts, the one who also doesn't have a business in this thread is you.samsam wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 7:09 am And I am bothered (bovvered) I got an infraction simply for posting in a topic which apparently I had no business posting in. The subject in discussion is if there is still a future for MacBooks, which may imply (it does, IMO) a possibility to replace them with a "Doze" machine.
You posted nothing about the subject. Instead, you just bashed other posters, and whined because you have got a warn from some moderator in another thread. You have all the right to dislike Windows - it's your prerogative. But you can't come here and bashing someone who is defending Windows against macOS just because of your prejudice.
Contrary to you, some people here use both OSes, which, IMO, is a clear evidence they have no prejudice against either of them. OTOH, it places them in a privileged position to judge the pros and cons of each OS and the hardware it's running on, contrary to you and other fanboys who just know Macs, and talk about Windows based on "hear-saying"

I use Doze more than Mac. Nothing hearsay about me, chief. Just prefer Mac for music. You know very little about me and your guesswork is letting you down. And I read threads far more than I post, same as this one. Is that OK with you? Why do I need to add more?
Checking my privilege thanks.
See you soon in a new Mac thread.

And you have all the right to do so.samsam wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 9:55 am I use Doze more than Mac. Nothing hearsay about me, chief. Just prefer Mac for music.
Again, you are right. I made a judgement (a guess) based on your latest posts, and I was mistaken, apparently. Same as you, when you judged and bashed other posters. See what I mean?samsam wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 9:55 am You know very little about me and your guesswork is letting you down. And I read threads far more than I post, same as this one. And I have nothing against Macs, which I use for music for around 30 years now. OTOH, I have A LOT against Apple and their policies which, IMO, are even putting the platform in danger (again).

You were mistaken when you started to reply to me with "fanboys, prejudice blah blah", complete nonsense. "Apparently".
What problems you been having the platform these past 30 years? OS X been pretty kind to me in terms of music production.

Read what I posted... "Apple policies"samsam wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 10:35 am What problems you been having the platform these past 30 years? OS X been pretty kind to me in terms of music production.
Regarding specifically the platform, my problems are connected with the progressive raising in prices, tied to the lack of processing power (comparatively) offered, lack of alternatives, lack of expansion and upgrading possibilities, and planned obsolescence.
These and other things that are private, and will remain so.

I wonder how long time it would take me to get banned if I were to jump into every Windows thread/discussion and start telling them how stupid they are. I think I would be shut down pretty damn quick.
Some people use trackers. I guess they are idiots too? Or people who like working on MPCs? Or people who use an Intel i5 to make music. That's obviously insanity, right?
These jihadists are pure effing poison.

Ah, Apple policies. I see.
Same as me theni guess, all good with the actual software we use.
So, you use Mac OS as your music making platform? Which DAW do you use?

Would take you 5 mins. Unless you were a friend of the site owners, then I guess you're pretty much good to go.DrGonzo wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 10:56 am I wonder how long time it would take me to get banned if I were to jump into every Windows thread/discussion and start telling them how stupid they are. I ue BOTH platforms, but I have been shifting more and more towards Windows in the latest years, due to the reasons already explained.samsam wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:01 am Ah, Apple policies. I see.

Anyway, may main DAWs nowadays are Cubase Pro and REAPER, although I have been turning my attention (again) to Digital Performer, since they launched the Windows version too. Performer was my first sequencer.

I have to recurrently force quit Finder, in order to reach files from the Finder (for copy, paste, trash, etc.). Otherwise, when I try to manage those files, I get a warning that the file cannot be found (???). This is something that seems to affect many users, according to what I saw in the Net. I'm in Sierra.samsam wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 11:17 am BONES: how the f**k do you make Finder crash? I didn't even know it _could_ crash.

Wow, if you are both that unlucky that you even have problems with Finder no wonder you're down on Mac OS.fmr wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 12:20 pmI have to recurrently force quit Finder, in order to reach files from the Finder (for copy, paste, trash, etc.). I'd drop it like a stone if it were me.
Luckily I can browse my Mac files without crashing it.
