again, patience to do what? what is it that you're implying that i'm supposed to wait and have patience for? i can see that you like being all condescending and superior, but you do realize that you're not making sense, right?

I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

Mate, run along. I dont really care that you have no patience. Plenty more 3rd party software sites you can buy gear from. Bye bye

I don't understand why some people must push their loyalties and wave the banner of allegiance, it must be the word "alliance" in their name that triggers them just short of arming themselves with fisticuffs to go to battle.

I appreciate the vitriol probably seems a bit extreme, but I I guarantee you 90% of the people giving them grief in this thread haven't made posts slating any other retailers recently. Nobody needles their customers quite like PA. Three incidents stick out for me:ramseysounds wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 3:42 pm![]()

They discontinued the Unfiltered Audio bundle that essentially guaranteed good deals on their future plugs. I bought Fault mostly because completing the bundle seemed like a good long-term investment. That went bye-bye before they released their next plug, so I'm not sure if anyone was ever in a position to take advantage of that offer.
They offered a $129 intro price on BYOME, which seemed like a great deal over the $250ish full price, only to blow it out at around $69 (somebody says they got it for $49 at that time by some mechanism) just 5 months later.
When they picked up Dmitry Sches Thorn they made existing owners pay $19 to... umm, crossgrade isn't the right word for it? Let's call it a 'pay $19 for no reason' offer if you wanted continued 1.x updates for a synth you already own. Thorn isn't a mature synth either. Things like oscillator oversampling didn't seem to be working, and it STILL isn't working (the option had been removed entirely) in Plugin Alliance's 1.2 version where the only change seemed to be adding their logo to the bottom. Somewhat brilliantly, when I sent an email saying I hadn't received the $19 'crossgrade'... whatever, the $19 needle offer, it turned out they were spending that $19-per-customer cost of moving a database over by simply letting poor Dmitry do the work and be the face of that policy anyway. Sent the support request to PA, got a response from DS's Gmail account. Nice.
None of this would really matter if you could buy the plugs at a competing retailer, but they're all exclusive AFAIK. I'd love to support Unfiltered Audio by buying LION on day 1, but who would do that after the BYOME blowout? I'm fine with sales, but 50% off the intro offer after only 5 months? That's a slap in the face. I mean some companies have intro offers lasting almost that long.
Fool me once, fair enough. Fool me twice, I decided not to deal with them again. Then they fooled me a third time by buying up a synth I already owned and charging me for the pleasure of continued 1.x updates. f**k them.

Not exactly Earth shattering but that's okay.
So, it's basically the same with newer prices and more stuff coming... I'm happy with that.

Oberhausen still at 250 bucks. I've seen enough.

Any of their $199+ only if they are $29 or less.

VSM-3, HG-2 Blackbox, ProAudioDSP DSM V2, Townhouse, bx_Opto, bx_Subsynth, bx_Saturator, bx_Control V2. If I had to do it all over again, I'd start with these, first.

There are many gems but wait for a sale, which should be any day
Then, you can demo them for I think 15 days w/o limitations. Then, if you like it, pull the trigger.

I don't see the appeal of bx_control over VUMT Deluxe? bx_opto is great though.Mathematics wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 5:33 pmVSM-3, HG-2 Blackbox, ProAudioDSP DSM V2, Townhouse, bx_Opto, bx_Subsynth, bx_Saturator, bx_Control V2. If I had to do it all over again, I'd start with these, first.

If you can resist purchasing, you’re better of doing the demos beforehand to know what you want when there’s a sale.reggie1979 wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 5:35 pmThere are many gems but wait for a sale, which should be any day![]()

You've prob gotten more replies than you want now lol. But we do love to talk about our plugins... so I'll add my input for any who give a shit
Some of the companies under the PA banner make some really really nice analog modeled plugins. IMHO - I'd wait for a sale on...
bx saturator
brainworx townhouse compressor
elysia phil's cascade
Millenia NSEQ
If you like glitchy FSU type of plugins, Unfiltered Audio Fault and Spec Ops are pretty cool. I've personally never felt attracted to their other stuff FWIW. Trash 2 does most of the same things as Dent 2 and then some. BYOME/Triad are cool but seem redundant to me, having both SerumFX and Zebrify
People like the Maag EQ's. I'm not quite sure what's so special about them. I personally like NSEQ and Boz Digital Hoser XT a lot more for similar applications
Dmitry Sches Thorn is pretty sweet, but I'm pretty sure it's like $50 or $70 more than it was before he joined PA lol. I paid for the $20 update to 1.2. Idk if I can really say it was worth $20 to me but if it keeps Dmitry Sches in business it was a good investment. I love Diversion

townhouse, opto, bx sub-synth, SPL transient shaper, bx consoles, SPL twin tube, vitalizer. Take your pick
I wonder what happens if I press this button...
