I agree that the sound is most important... but the lack of a functional browser or much of any midi support is a significant bummer for me.realtrance wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 2:30 pm But the good news is, it's already a spectacular sounding synth that's fun to use, which is what matters most.

i can pick out issues with all my plugins; something about the GUI, the browser; the way routing is handled. the fx. whatever. but i OWN the plugins i own because they sound great, and i am all about the sound; i use them to make music... that's what matters most (ok, IMHO)...
MX sounds great, am glad i now own it.

Yeah... i fully agree with that. Same with DAW's. I think it's even counterproductive to have more than one installed, because... sometimes you tend to compare then, and wished this or that feature would be available in the one you are NOT using at the moment. Kinda sucks.fisherKing wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 3:03 pm i can pick out issues with all my plugins; something about the GUI, the browser; the way routing is handled. the fx. whatever. but i OWN the plugins i own because they sound great, and i am all about the sound; i use them to make music... that's what matters most (ok, IMHO)...

I can understand this (and I agree about MIDI learn not being there, but one thing is kinda tied to another), but macros can be so much more powerful, and I really don't recall any instrument where I had to automate more than 16 parameters of a single patch in a project, ever. Do you know of anyone (apart from, maybe, BT)?chk071 wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 3:03 pm Yeah, that seems to be the biggest gripe - lack of automatable parameters.

i take them all at face value (ha! i do use some custom skins). i mean, if i can work, i work. if i have needs/suggestions... i email the developer. i don't whine on forums, that fixes/changes nothing.chk071 wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 3:06 pmYeah... i fully agree with that. my opinion (and nothing more): discussion is great, whining sucks.

Thanks. Not interested.v1o wrote: Tue Jul 02, 2019 9:47 pm The only reasonable thing we can discuss here is to commission Wagtunes to release a sound set. Massive X badly needs more presets, the included ones are not plentiful enough.

FTR, I think this synth sounds incredible. Economics and a wealth or riches as far as software I already own make buying this a luxury I can't afford. Otherwise, I'd probably have gotten it the day it came out.
Just wanted to make that clear that I find nothing wrong with this synth. Not even the GUI.

not sure he automates that much actually, as most of his processing and editing happens in audio. he rarely leaves anything real-time and bounces early on.EvilDragon wrote: Wed Jul 03, 2019 3:07 pm

where the lack of fixed automation is most problematic is for people like me, who would like to be able to make a general purpose Kore template. not that the first massive was any good on a surface, but at least you had the bare minimum.
