Just on a whim I checked out AudioThing's site to see if anything was new. There was! VALVES!
GOOD NEWS: "Valves is FREE for previous Valve Filter/Valve Exciter owners"
https://www.audiothing.net/effects/valves/
Intro sale $29 ($59)
VINTAGE TUBE EMULATION
Valves is a vintage valve emulation plugin with multimode resonant filter and cabinet/EQ section.
The valve section is modelled after classic vintage tubes, with added grit and custom gain control.
The filter section is modelled after a classic ladder filter (2-pole or 4-pole) with low pass, high pass, bandpass and notch modes.
The cabinet/EQ section features a selection of modelled cabinets with classic bass and treble EQ controls.
WARM UP
With up to 16x oversampling, Valves can be used to add that authentic tube character to your tracks.
Using the built-in Cabinet/EQ section you can emulate several types of guitar amplifiers and further shape the overdrive sound.
The state variable filter features LowPass, HighPass, BandPass, and Notch modes. It can be used pre or post valve.
SPECIFICATIONS
Tube Overdrive
8 cabinets with Bass and Treble EQ
State Variable Filter: LP, HP, BP, and Notch (2 or 4-pole)
16x Oversample
35 Presets
Resizable Window
Preset system with randomizer

Think of all the folks who got the Valve Filter freebie through Focusrite Plugin Collective last year. A rather generous upgrade indeed!

Enjoy guys! Thank you plexuss for the post
Valve Filter and Valve Exciter were our first plugins, released in 2014
We decided it was best to discontinue them and make a new plugin merging and adding new features.
I hope you like it

Thank you, looks really good....
Is it only me that now have 2 AudioThing folders in MyDocuments ?
All my previous AudioThing plugins has put the data in
C:\Users\*username*\Documents
but Valves created it in
C:\Users\Public\Documents
Installed only VST2 - Windows 7 x64 SP1

I am so anxious to install these. I was really excited when I got the previous versions but within a month stopped using them because they tended to be too extreme. Based on the video on the product page I am quite sure these will be getting a lot of use.
