Just bought it blindfolded, have been waiting for this, will give it a thorough spin over the next days.

There’s been some improvements with the spectral casting and moulding making it a bit more intuitive. Hands down still my favourite feature.
Lots of cool additions and refinements in this update.

I haven’t looked closely at this yet, but what advantages does it offer if I already own RX Advanced and Adobe Audition?
Edit:
Okay, now that I’ve watched the videos, this actually looks rather good. It combines the direct spectral editing of RX with a more refined Photoshop-esque toolset. Metasynth is actually the closest tool to this, although the emphasis is in a different place. I’ll be picking this one up!

Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

The biggest difference compared to RX Advanced is that SPL allows for layering of sounds, like stacking/blending images in Photoshop and you can add frequency spectrum with a pen or other tools. RX has many more tools for audio repair on board though, some functions are quite similar actually.deastman wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 1:11 am I haven’t looked closely at this yet, but what advantages does it offer if I already own RX Advanced and Adobe Audition?

It feels a bit Beta-ish still, going through all the functions while reading the manual, the standalone app becomes unresponsive, buttons get stuck, layers won't display, finally force quite is needed to retrieve functionality.

Agreed. I went ahead and bought it while it was on sale, but it seems quite buggy. I didn't have an audio interface at hand, so I set it to use Windows 10 "Generic low latency ASIO drivers" or whatever it's called. The instant I hit the play button, the program hard crashed and disappeared. That bug was consistently repeatable. I also noticed that if I copied and pasted some audio repeatedly in the same layer, trying to move the duplicate pasted copies around to different points in time, the display would get very messed up. Sometimes it would conceal or reveal previous pasted copies as I moved data around. Some of my pasted data was consistently displayed in both the spectral and waveform views, but wouldn't actually play. And there were several other crashes.Sampleconstruct wrote: Thu Jul 04, 2019 3:04 am It feels a bit Beta-ish still, going through all the functions while reading the manual, the standalone app becomes unresponsive, buttons get stuck, layers won't display, finally force quite is needed to retrieve functionality.

Seems weird that such crucial bugs slipped through the Beta-testing...so far I've only been fighting with the program.
