I have been busy with Photoshop lately but when I return to music making
I will again look at ABsynth 5.

My other plugins for Ambient:

Iris 2 which I have. I rate this very high.
FORM, Polyplex, S-Layer and a few other Reaktor plugins. Yes I got K11.
I have Padshop Pro but it has not inspired me. I will have to re-visit it.

Really looking forward to see Avenger by Vengeance viewtopic.php?f=1&t=467127

I got the free WusikStatio V8 and bought into the Wusik Group buy http://www.wusik.com/ww/group-buy. So now I am waiting to see what William K will comes up with. I suspect something very interesting and usable.

I will not get Falcon, Serum, Cycle, Kaleidoscope, Omnisphere, Pitchmap and Codex.
I may get Icarus and Movement. Money and time to learn are the limiting factors.

So my arsenal for Ambient music creation is more than Adequate.
But .... Absynth 6 will be crowing joy in this effort.

Absynth is seriously in need of an update. It's useful enough if you aren't trying to push the filters and effects, i.e., as a simple sample based synth.

A few of their things are, just yesterday I was thinking about how Guitar Rig's also been left in the dust by all it's competition (sorry for getting a bit off the topic of Absynth).

In my opinion Absynth has been ignored and abandoned by Native instruments.

What I would have liked to have seen in Absynth 6 is that it was more capable working with audio samples.

I now have Melda Sound Factory and waiting for the sample module and other sample related modules and hope that is will be a good Absynth replacement. https://www.meldaproduction.com/MSoundFactory

I think it is better that NI ignore it! Judging from their new Massive, I don't want Absynth 6

I think it is still a great synth! For Ambience and weird pads and effect, it really shines especially with its low CPU usage

I've got Komplete 11 and I think Guitar Rig, Absynth, and FM8 are the best of the bunch.

I wouldn't mind seeing them updated, as long as they didn't ruin them.

Are you saying that I should look at Massive X as a replacement for Absynth.
I do ambient and such and like to work with samples.
Look at Massive X?

How come nobody ever talks about Absynth anymore?
