This always gives me very interesting starting points.
No other synth out there AFAIK has such a deep and intelligent randomize function.
This is still the future of sound in my workflow...
I dunno man. NI bought Absynth from Brian. It’s not necessarily within his control to continue and develop the synth. NI would have to solicit his services and pay him accordingly before he could do anything.v1o wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2019 2:06 pm I don’t think we should completely blame NI for the lack of development and updates to Absynth. We should blame its creator Brian Clevinger for not getting the ball rolling.
Massive’s original creator Mike Daliot recently worked with NI to release Massive X after nearly ten years.
Exactly. If NI isn't interested to continue development, it's not on him.perpetual3 wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2019 2:22 pmI dunno man. NI bought Absynth from Brian. Really? I don't think there is any "convert to scala" unless you mean re-write something in it.monomaker wrote: Sat Jul 06, 2019 7:04 pmI'd forgot about that - its got its own format but it's comparatively fiddly (convert in scala, find the appropriate folder and reload the synth). It's probably the best implementation in any NI synth, still, it's not very good.

You can manually select what is to be randomized or not (OSC, Filters, EFX, Envelopes), how much it will be tweaked, and what category sound (pad, key, rhythmic, long evolving, slow attack, synced, and so on...) you want to get close.
This always gives me very interesting starting points.

I also like synths with this feature so, good to know, tnx. AIR Vacuum Pro has good randomizing features, so does Cassetto from hgsounds. I think that other hgsounds Kontkat instruments do as well, I just found it really useful in Cassetto.dune_rave wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2019 6:45 pm Predator 1 and 2 has such randomizing feature.

Can you please elaborate or provide a link?dune_rave wrote: Sun Jul 07, 2019 6:45 pm Predator 1 and 2 has such randomizing feature.
