Count me as one of those who just doesn't agree that the Valhalla stuff matches the old Lexicon stuff. Don't get me wrong, for the money, the Valhalla reverbs are some amazing value. But I personally have just never been able to groove with them. They just feel a bit lifeless to me. I realize this is just an opinion, though I know many others who agree with me. But please take it with a grain of salt.

Personally, if you want to get closer to the Lexicon verbs, I would go with something like Breverb, or get Reverberate and use some of the fusion IRs and modulation to create the sound. Of course, if you have a higher budget, the Relab LX480 and the Lexicon plugins themselves are the absolute best bet.

I know the Valhalla stuff gets high praise around here, and it deserves to. But I would never get it to emulate the old hardware. To my ears, it just simply doesn't have enough spacial properties and movement in the sound, and that is the key to getting the Lexicon sound.

Others will no doubt disagree. But I'm pretty firm in this thinking after trying the Valhalla verbs over and over again. I just personally can't get them to feel as "one" with the sound as the Lexicon did. Again, NOT saying they are bad or that they aren't a great value. But just not my choice for emulating the original hardware.
