Massive X DOESN'T have everything other flagship synths has. It doesn't have unison on oscillator level either.
In this case 'Next Generation' is just marketing speak for we're not bothering with various expected standards. And calling it a flagship synth makes the term seem meaningless.

It doesn't have midi learn
It doesn't support standard midi controllers like expression pedal
It does not have regular parameter automation
It is incapable of working with midi controllers for preset editing
It has no Undo/Redo
It has no numeric display
It does not support MPE or even just Poly AT (another step backwards for the next gen synth)
It has only the most rudimentary of browsers
and no module presets and a finicky workflow...

I've been using MX a fair bit the past few days... deciding whether I really want to invest my time in learning this synth. I like the sound enough that I upgraded Komplete to get MX. No final conclusion yet, but I think the answer will be a no as there are just too many major issues for me.

some of those things will happen with later versions (yes, am crossing my fingers). but how long are you going to go on about the same things? maybe the whole point is to 'not bother with various expected standards'.

anyway, you're entitled to your opinion... which is, as with all of us, just an opinion.

next step is to get rid of VST support... and if they really wanna be 'next gen' they would do away with the GUI and use a command line interface!

To be totally honest, i'll stay out of it as well then. Would like to read some news on the plugin, but, all i read are the same complaints and negativity every freaking day. It's a bit ridiculous.

Off to the NI forum for some real infos.

you mean, all the bad stuff is my fault? and none of it is just a reaction to other bad stuff? and that you've been put in charge, and so you're not being problematic by telling me what to do?

but, ok, will stay out of it (i might read it, but won't post)... as long as you stop posting as well :tu:

no you're not all fault for all the problems but such a ridiculous statement to bait with, suggesting a mod doesn't post is a fantastic example of having to get in the last word. Said need to have a last word, baiting with nonsense does indeed lead to pages of problems.
