I wish NI hadn't locked the Absynth User Library, I was just getting started by then.

Locked libraries has caused me to dump certain synths/companies.
e.g Tone 2.

Absynth user library is in read only mode, so you can still download patches for exploration...

yeah but if you extrapolate for outside the kvr population i bet the number is at least double your estimation!

Probably. Well, i don't know how many people really want a new Absynth, but, AFAIC, people are more into "boring" stuff, like the flagship VA's or wavetable synth we see everywhere, which are so damn popular.

I don't think there will be a new Absynth because of the complexity of it versus demand means there is not enough will.
Absynth is a pretty big part of what I've done from 06 thru 19. I think it's a finished product... and I don't mind the interface. So I'm not much a part of 'wishing for Absynth 6'.
Yes, it's small.
I'm a realist rather than an idealist. I don't think about this stuff when I work, it's not a thing here.

I know, I have a couple of banks there. I'd like to upload more and inflict more damage.

Other people will have upped their game since 2011 or whatever as well.

yeah, it is what it is.
and i like it as is too. don't have a 4k monitor or any desire to get one, my eyes are too far gone for it to be worthwhile

so long as it works on whatever os im on, its fine.
when it doesn't ill move on, theres other things, maybe not the same, but equally as fun and noisy

Yes, either this or the AKWF, lotsa fun.
I like Absynth and use it often, playing to its’ strengths not its’ weaknesses.
