nah seriously, great mix, and yup those lyrics are actually upfront this time

that ending section is pure last track at a festival anthem

will have to listen again with a bit more volume during the day

I've been playing it a lot recently and it does seem odd going back to a 'normal' guitar afterwards - too high high pitched and the strings too thin. I definitely come up with things on it I would never do on either a guitar or a bass. I'd definitely recommend getting one if someone fancies something a bit different. In fiesta red.

is it tuned the same but an octave lower? or you having to move around the neck for scales to match a regular 6?

and most importantly for my stupid spine, what's the weight like?
i did try a baritone, but found with the extra weight and stretching that little bit further wasnt good

Tuned the same as standard guitar tuning (you can buy the strings as as bass vi set) which makes it easier to adapt to than a baritone (and of course lower...

). Weight wise it's quite light really, definitely lighter than the Variax. Scale length is 30 inch (missus) which is short in bass terms (34 is about usual).

Cheers. I do like to flit about a bit stylistically now and again (bits of folk, some country influences here and there, the metel, little bit of poorly played funk, the sithesiser pop etc....) but I think this gives a fairly good idea.

I really love the guitar playing and melody. Your singing is rustic, not perfect, but really fits the style well. Maybe a bit too long for me, but still a really enjoyable track. Great song writing for sure!

Hehe, 'rustic' -oooar! This is one of the longer songs I've done recently (actually cut it down from over 6 minutes originally..

) - usually I'm a fan of the short sharp 'leave em wanting more' approach, but thought I'd do something a bit more sprawling for variety.

Cheers. I always think that if you're going for the length (missus...) then there's no point in going for the usual verse/chorus type of thing - gets boring after a bit, got to do something a bit different.

Some 'Faith' era Cure stylee Bass VI action (in Fiesta Red, not pink), Ostentatious 808 kick (Massive who?), sinthesiser bass, 12 string acoustics (both of the bastards), strings, and as a nice change a bit of Les Paul/Marshall action (ok, Variax, Marshall type amp sims) as opposed to Telecaster/Fender amp type stuff. How very 'rockist' of one.
