Agreed on the Airwindows Tape plugins. I have tried almost all of them except for the new IK one and ToTape5 is the one that I find the most pleasing and useful. Very natural sounding and can add a nice solidity to the low end when needed and tucks things in.
I don't feel compelled to try more out as I know what I'm getting with ToTape5 now and feel like subtly using colour throughout the mix into ToTape5 gets a really good sound. I don't always use it but when it works it's great. Don't forget to try out FromTape as well from Airwindows. It's not got a headbump like ToTape5 and it uses a bit less CPU, it is like a very clean take on tape and equally useful, I find myself using it on single tracks more.
