Hi,

Has anyone experienced this?

I bought the boxed version because I didn't want to do 55 GB@1.6 MB/sec. Some sounds/articulations in Miro2 are incorrect. For example, there's no pizzicato in the 5 Cello ensemble KS instrument. So...... I go to the Miro2 page in my products, find there's updated sound files. Grrrrr. I bought the boxed version specifically so I wouldn't have to do this. So, I go to install the sound updates and I get this message:
"Installation Aborted. Cannot find any sound content to copy." :x

This happens for all 5 update files.

Anyone who's encountered the same thing, could you please tell me what to do about this? Other than contacting IK support, it being the weekend and all.

Thanks.

I've ran into the same situation. Error message. I have Miroslav 2 CE. I don't know how many files to add and/or replace with the big version. But I did update manually one by one. First I got used to the file structure. About 10 minutes work in total. It's weekend and perhaps you want to write some symphonic music ASAP.

Hi,

It isn't that I need or want to do any symphonic composing over the weekend. I bought the $%%%!!!! memory stick version so I wouldn't have to download everything. One would think that the memory sticks have been updated, but mine came with v2.02. Latest is 2.05, and that was 2017! Further, one would expect the sound files to be updated, as well. But, no. IK Multimedia is the only company I have problems with like this with their products, and I have a decent collection of VIs. I have a hard time passing up bargains  , but is it a bargain when things don't work properly and you have to spend hours jumping through hoops to get it to work correctly?

Your anger is legit for sure.

Yeah, thanks. When you re-downloaded the sound files, did they work correctly?

Perhaps you don't have to download the whole Sound Library. I only had to download a Sound Library Update. It's located in my IKM account (My Products) under 'Download Resources'. Since I've updated the Lib manually all works correctly.

Post

Ah, no. As I mention above, there are 5 Sound Library updates, and ALL of them give me "Installation Aborted. Cannot find any sound content to copy."

Which is ridiculous, as the files are 1+ GB each, and the sound content folders are included in the updates. As I said, this is absurd.

Yes. But I guess you're like me on Mac, right? You can "open" the installers in the macOS finder via context menu item 'show content'.

Ok, then what?

No. Sorry. It's different.

Your Library Update Installers should be located in a folder in which also should be a folder called 'Miroslav Philharmonik 2 Sound Content'.

Post

Yes, that's there. I thought you meant the installer itself. I've looked in there, but I have no idea where to place the sample files.

Do you know where your Miroslav 2 library is located? The one you've installed from the memory stick?

Post

Yeah. It's in the Sampletank 3 folder. Found it, and replaced one of the instrument files. Maybe I'll have to do this all manually.

I'll be Bach......

EDIT: Ok, I've installed all of the replacement instruments and samples manually. Hard to tell if everything is the way it's supposed to be, but the cello KS instruments seems to be working properly now.

Thanks for your guidance, Etienne! :tu:
