I wanted to use vst plugins like goodhertz can opener while listening to audio streams such as youtube or spotify or pandora. So far I found a way that involves using asio for all and an audio routing installation but I was hoping for a better method.

Waveform’s sampler will do this from what I’ve seen. I haven’t actually used it.

Hmm...maybe it could be done with Audacity and its vst's.
Have it pickup the sound from the soundcard and use vst on that.

host for windows allows audio stream as input
