After actually working on some songs with this skin, here are some adjustments. All unused bitmaps have been deleted and it's down to 138k.

is it possible to have a 16 bit version without alpha channel for old win 2000 users like me

or a version on a plain background?
btw this icon is nice, not so ext related, but nice...

Will it be good if I just add color for the background (no transparency)?

yes it will, win 2000 just accept two alpha level: plain and transparent, so a background will do the job, with keeping the nice shadow effect

I forgot to add this:

The relation between ext and my icon is atomic energy(XT). The icon should remind of an atom with electrons running around it's core(It's long since I had school lessons, but I remember an atom looks something like that).

Windows 98 skin, an emulation of standard Windows 9x.

I hope the Sampler-component will get it's own icon in the GUI-Editor soon. ( ic_sampler )
