I have Reason Lite which is exactly like Reason Intro except it only has 8 tracks instead of 16.Nathanananan wrote: ↑Fri May 31, 2019 9:18 pm Does anyone own Reason Intro, if so does it feel limiting to you? It includes all the instruments that I like the only downside I see is no rewire.
I guess it depends on your usage of it. I just play around with Reason for the sounds & rex abilities. I havent made full songs with it yet jist because I have other DAWs that Ive used before.
As far as Rewire, you can get similar results using 2 tools: Loopmidi & Rearoute in Reaper. Its not as elegant at all, but like I said, I only use Reason for minimal tasks.
Loopmidi creates virtual MIDI ports (as many as you need) for your computer. Rearoute is an ASIO audio driver for Reaper. It can be acessed by other application and routed back into Reaper and there are 16 ins and outs. With these 2 together you can get the same basic functionality as Rewire but it is definitely not the same. With Rewire, its one stream.
