Just curious if there is a sampler that lets you control all paramaters, including playback or scrubbing with a midi controller? So I guess I'm asking for a plug in sampler geared toward live performance. Does such an instrument exist?

Yeah, something like Traktor and recording the output with something like virtual audio routing or even dumping to WAV if the software allows it makes more sense to me too.

Some googling came up with this:

And Win only:

I have Traktor and use it with timecode vinyl and do send the audio into my daw. Was just curious if there was a sampler that did this via midi so everything could be edited afterward.
Scratchtrack works like shit. Just horribly designed though the concept is brilliant in theory.
Scratch It looks interesting though Windows 32 bit.

So you want 64 bit, and you want to sequence or automate it? In that case you might be interested in Cableguys Timeshaper. It's got a couple Scratch presets built in and you can download some more from the built-in online database. But it's not a sampler, it processes incoming audio, you'll have to cut and loop the sample in your DAW timeline. It's not going to be like physical scratching, you're drawing envelopes where down = backwards and how far down is how far back. Speeding up requires you to build up a buffer first. But since you're sequencing it, you can sculpt it perfectly. You can trigger different curves via MIDI. Try the demo, it'll make more sense.
It can buffer up to 32 bars. Gross Beat is similar but can only buffer 2 bars.
