Connection mine field, 30 pin, lightening etc.

Hi guys, just ordered an iPad Air 2 (long time need upgrade from iPad 2)

I have an io dock 1, 30 pin, griffin studio connect, 30 pin.

A 25 note keyboard with USB midi.

First I though get a 30 to lightening apple cable to use the docks to record audio and midi but impossible to find in Europe less that £50.

Than I though ok just midi will do but then hit a brick wall finding what USB to lightening I need that will actually work.

Any help would be super cool.

Yep good luck with this. I’m onto my 3rd 30-pin to lightning adaptor now and none of them work.

Similarly to the OP I have an Alesis ioDock (Mk2 though) and id like it to double as a phone charger when why I’m looking for the extension. And having one rogue white cable would definitely upset my OCD.

Just looked it up - it's called MFI Certification. Usually makes the cables about half price and sometimes less.

Would of been nice to have hacked the iodock or griffin 30 pin to work.

Something tells me this adapter won’t work and I will end up with the apple.

There is a ton of dirt cheap chinese knock offs that work perfectly in IOS 12, iPadOS kills them all again unfortuantely.
