Well, the saying "you do get what you pay for" tends to be generally true.TrojakEW wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 5:38 am Based on your analogy it means that all free instruments and effects sucks because they are free.

Only applies to physical goods, not software. You only need to compare what you get if you buy the $199 version of FL Studio, to what you get in (single) plugins for $199 elsewhere.robotmonkey wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:19 amWell, the saying "you do get what you pay for" tends to be generally true.TrojakEW wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 5:38 am Based on your analogy it means that all free instruments and effects sucks because they are free.

Or check out Limiter No6: A really good yet completely free limiter. I'm sure people can list amazing freeware all day.Image-Line wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 10:46 amOnly applies to physical goods, not software. Yeah it’s my third post. We all gotta start somewhere. You can’t tell me your beta team missed the fact that when you minimize FL and bring it back up the whole screen is filled with black boxes. I’m sorry for the harsh words on my previous posts, but i don’t like when companies advertise buggy features knowingly. Logic has been doing this to us for years, so we are very hip to this type of sales pitch. There will be so many people who will pay for this, and get hit with that bug immediately, rendering that one feature your touting useless. I see the trend of companies giving out free updates but using their customers as beta testers. I don’t think it will end well. No I don’t know you, Personally. Does it matter? I’m just trying to use your product, but never have I encountered such a blatant bug. Minimize? The only work around is to quit logic and FL and remember not to minimize.Image-Line wrote: Fri Jul 12, 2019 3:32 amWelcome to KVR, I see you are on your 3rd post.Jblkid95 wrote: Thu Jul 11, 2019 9:37 pm I almost bought it, thank god I tried the trial. IL almost pulled a fast one....What a shame... who puts out releases like this. this is the era we're in now? sheesh
Hardly pulling a "fast one" when we provide a time and feature unlimited trial version for this very purpose. Test and see if it meets your needs.
No other DAW on the planet can be used as a plugin. So, yes it's only us making releases like this AFAIK.
You seem a little vehement over the issue. Do we know each other from somewhere else?
Regards Scott

If you don't know how to use your "tools" properly, then it doesn't matter if get it for free or you paid millions for it. We shouldn't blame others for our own inability.robotmonkey wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 9:19 amWell, the saying "you do get what you pay for" tends to be generally true.TrojakEW wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 5:38 am Based on your analogy it means that all free instruments and effects sucks because they are free.

Maybe it only happens to you or a very limited amount of people and it works when they tested it? I don't see how that would be advertising knowingly buggy features.Jblkid95 wrote: Fri Jul 26, 2019 12:30 pm

The whole idea with FL Studio is that you can try it for free for an unlimited time before you buy it. Even if people pay for it. They just can file a bug report and it will be fixed, for free, in a newer version.

I've dropped a quick workflow video to youtube, and as I see my only problem is still the plugin window management
project organization has been solved with Channel Filtering + track assignments, don't have problem with routing audio/MIDI in Patcher, things in Patcher can be automated/modulated nicely from outside using different Fruity Controllers (independent channel looping solved nicely the note triggered envelopes) so everything would be nice and happy just have to constantly opening/closing those different plugin windows, is there any kind of suggestion for this, will be some solution someday, I would still vote to the Logic like screensets: https://support.apple.com/kb/PH24713?lo ... cale=en_US but maybe somebody has a better idea

2019 is sad in comparison.

Dude, these FL Studio threads are freaking ridiculous with the radical weirdos that show up every single time. I'm not even talking about Edward because it's obvious that he's chosen his life's path and we all already know that.
It's one thing to post dislikes about certain features and stuff and I get that part, but literally it's like Image-Line attracts characters that have this complete and utter personal disdain for them. What the freak is that all about?
They've done a very good job at getting thousands upon thousands of musicians, music producers, big and small, up and running in the music game for a fraction of the cost of the competition. Not to mention also, that there are a ton of features and concepts in FL-Studio that quite frankly can't be matched by their competition. I'm not going to say FL-Studio is the best music production software known to man because that's all subjective, but none of the others are perfect either. They all have their flaws, but FL-Studio seems to get the most ridicule out of all of them.
As a disclaimer, I'm not an Image-Line fanboi or a heavy FL-Studio user, (probably because it's the only thing in my life I would need "one on one" tutoring to learn how to use it fluently
Maybe there should be some lengthy pre-screening process for people entering FL-Studio threads?

This thread was off the rails PAGES ago. I'm of two minds, I hate hearing about updates and having that ragged on like it's a bad thing (I've had mine since version 4) but at the same time I'm tired of people accusing each other of stuff based on some KVR'ian bullshit.
Scott is wrong. FL has ALWAYS had rotten customer relations with it's customers. They are belligerent and demeaning towards people. GOL was an ass. A-moral jerks that think his BS was refreshing can go back to watching A-moral crap with people being bullied and picked on and getting off on it.
It would be nice if they just locked this one so that I'd miss it.
