Delivered before 11am, which makes it about 62 hours from one side of the planet to the other, all for 13 quid (shipping cost).

I think I sorted most of it. I've got the plugin running in Cubase but is there a standalone version of the software? What is "Trueno Installaion.exe" supposed to install? Whenever I try to run it I get told to "run as adminstrator" and even using the CTRL+SHIFT+Enter thing doesn't work.

I hit that Trueno installation.exe and it installs the driver, fonts and vst (x86 or x64, vst2 and/or vst3 ans also standalone). Rightclick the installer -> run as administrator.

Yeah, "Run as administrator" doesn't show up as an option. And yes, I have extracted everything from the zip. Selecting the file, holding CTRL+SHIFT and then pressing Enter is supposed to do the same thing but it still tells me I need to "run as administrator". It's OK, though, because dropping the .dll files into the right directories works. I just thought the other installer might be for a standalone version or something.

Right now I can only listen to it on my laptop's speakers because I can't get Cubase to work with my monitors for some reason. I'm assuming it's ASIO4all so I will get one of my other interfaces out of storage today and try it.

I've got the laptop playing out through the monitors, now I just need to set up all the outboard gear so I can actually play the Trueno. At least I now know it will definitely work and I can load it into Komplete Kontrol and just play with it. I will report back with details tomorrow.

I have and I love it! It even works in Orion, which I didn't expect. It sounds even better through Legend FX!

Weird.. Show up here in Live 10. Do you have a possibility to test on a different machine? Like laptop maybe? Have you had an answer yet from ws audio?

Turns out the problem I was having initially is bigger than I thought. Cubase won't work at all through my I/O device, even though everything else - Komplete Kontrol, Maschine and all my standalone softsynths (Equator, Synthmaster One, KLS) - work perfectly through it. It was all hunky-dory on the other laptop so I can't imagine why it won't work here because everything else is identical. It wasn't even playing out MIDI reliably over USB so there is definitely something wrong.

But I did get to have a bit of a play with Trueno through KK and I think we are going to have a long and happy relationship. It really does sound great, even with just a single oscillator in poly mode. I can see so much potential for it to grow over time, too, if the developer stays his course and doesn't lose interest or become disheartened.

The 1.1 update went into beta a year and a queen ago. It is still in beta. I have the feeling the developer is already disheartened.

I hope not as I like the idea. But......

That's what I was thinking, too. The problem with small outfits like this is getting the word out about your products. I'd have been all over this 18 months ago if I had known about it. It's such a clever idea and it has huge possibilities.

This is the answer I got:

The beta release will be pretty much the same as the final release. I haven't had any bug reports for it yet so I doubt anything will change apart from the name.
