A spot of recursion perchance?
in that case, the only people who win are the guys making cheap clothing and selling it for a huge price. Or even the thrift stores....

Is there really anyone here who honestly can not work themselves enough to get what they need to do what they want? Out on your luck my ass... if YOU can have enough determination to buy something for them, they sure as hell could have the determination to get it themselves if they needed.
A lot of people can't work, due to addictions (been there) etc etc. We're not all born of strong, fast and determined minds as yourself Mr "I'm so f**king great and I'm only 22 or is it 23? How olds my wife?" Randolph
I'm unemployed but I can still toss a coin to someone sitting on a street.
I'm thinking about kids who love hiphop or DnB getting access to a suitably set-up DAW. (Which they'ed probably steal for smack)
How about a DAW in an orphanage! S'getting closer to christmas...

Excuse me mister Randolph but i hope you're not even daring to try and compare anybody here at KVR with underprivileged suburban kids ,Most people here at KVR come here to see about the latest software they can buy ,Most suburban kids i know of go to a shop to play games because they cant even afford a console ,Now for someone to dare to step into a thread concerning such a charitable idea and not even realise that most of the people we're talkin about wont even get onto the net this month or next is absolutly amazing to me ,The whole suburban thing may have thrown a few people but this idea will be going ahead and wont just cover suburban areas but any area that has a worthy trust ,This will be a yearly project and im sure manufacturers will step on board (Sure for advertising purposes at first)because some of us do care ,I didn't have many oportunities thrown at me when i was younger and find it difficult to believe that anyone would see this idea as a bad one ,Well atleast we know mister Randolph wont be putting in his 50 cents but perhaps many more will ,NAS will be sponsoring a website for this idea and it should be up in the next few weeks ,We're going to ask for help from anyone who can give it and we and many others less fortunate will be very grateful , I wasn't actually going to post in this thread because this is K.L.F's baby but hey after reading mister Randolphs very americanised reply i started to worry about the nature of the human race in general ,Still at least we know now how little Bushee got voted in and why no middle americans worry about his pollution policies (Lets not even get into foreign policy) ,Hopefully im way off the mark here and this was just one foolish remark by someone who takes wealth for granted but we'll have to wait and see.

Anyone interested in helping out on this venture can either contact myself or K.L.F for further info.

A small addendum

I should have added anybody who wants to help organise this is more than welcome ,We want to keep this as open as possible so everybody knows theres nothing dodgy going on.

Also there will be a hall of fame of donaters and a hall of shame of companies that said NO ,All donations will be welcome even if it is only a few pence/cents because it all adds up ,I doubt Ben will be able to give us a forum here at KVR but there will be a forum for setup suggestions and Trust entries and so on.

Nice idea but ...

Probably a more sensible approach would be to support an existing charity (after all, you need someone to ensure that the kit gets used as it was intended for some time to come, not "stolen for smack"). You'll probably find that the charity in question would have links to manufacturers/suppliers already and it just needs someone to co-ordinate the various charitable supply chains to create a DAW and train the kids (or whoever) how to use it.
