Hi all,

this Part of the Forum seems quiet inactive - I´m really surprised ...

Some Questions to start an Exchange about Experciences and best Practices:

Do you frequently use a Sampler for Sound Design? What are your Sources, what kinds of Sound do you make?

Does anybody here make "Synth Sounds" for Samplers, Pads, Leads?

Which Sampler do you prefer - and why?

Have you made Experiences that you want to share, best Practices, any Questions?

In other words - let´s talk about Sampling. There´s much to talk about from my Side ...

A first Step from my Side:

I use MPC Software as DAW besides Cubase Elements, because it offers me a perfect Sampling Environment. I take the Samples with the MPC, mostly with the Auto-Sampler, export the Programm and load the Samples into a Halion (in MPC DAW) afterwards. I can save the whole Project and all the Data in a Folder afterwards, I have everything I need besides the other, a quiet good Leveler, and most important: the Auto Sampler, that enables me to Sample a whole Keyboard-Range within Minutes.

How do you manage the Process? Can you tell us about your/possible Solutions?

I really wonder what the Software Companys do and why they make Sampling so "difficult" for their Users, much more difficult than it has been in 1997. With all the Power that modern Plugins offer Sampling is the most interesting thing to do today. I just bought some Melda-(Spectral/Sounddesign)-Plugins (MCharacter, MTransformer, MUnison) and I must admit that I really forgot to feed my Zebra! for some days... despite of all the other "Synths" in my Folders.
