My exported loops have artefacts when stretched

Hi
I create loops with FXpansion Geist 2, Logic as the host. Sequencing out hi hats/percussion etc then bounce final piece out as a loop so I can use it in other projects.
When these exported loops are used in other projs and stretched in Logic to match BPM (even trivially such as from 13bpm4 to 136bpm) it introduces quite noticeable artefacts.
This doesn't happen with commercial loops I've purchased. So what am I doing wrong?
I'm exporting as 24/44khz
Cheers

Use a different stretch algorithm?

Makes no difference. I'm talking like for like loops.

What if you bounce the geist track to audio, does that loop also have artifacts when stretching?

I’ve had pretty good results enabling Flex Time and using the Slices algorithm from the drop down menu. I mean like taking a 100 BPM loop and making it work at 170. You may have to play with a couple of different algorithms, and it seems like playing at a slower BPM definitely will create weird artifacts that can be minimized, but will not go away altogether. Logic has good time stretching tools, but they aren’t quite as easy to work with as Ableton’s
I’m also not exporting loops from Geist, and who knows...there might be some granular time stretch going on in that program. As an experiment maybe try to take the same source material and chop it up in Logic and bounce it out...basically bypass the Geist part altogether. See what happens. It couldn’t hurt
