And why the rush? Simple. I've had some time to actually think about what I'm embarking on. I'm 61 years old. How much time do I really have left to do this? After 42 years of writing pop songs I got nowhere.

The whole 61/42-year thing is in the past. It would only be worth holding onto if it motivated you to do things differently. However, you seem to be just rushing in gung-ho without any real care.

It's about ME feeling that I've accomplished something with my musical life that was worth something, anything, to somebody.

Exactly! So, don't rush it. Do it properly. Get together a portfolio of music that demonstrates the niche you want to aim towards. And be patient. Eight weeks is nothing. But you could do a whole lot of damage bombarding multiple sites without be able to put your best foot forward.

Is it really of no importance to you that the people who run the site are interested in curating quality content from quality producers for quality clients? Do you really not care that they take time to ensure that the place is not overrun by 'Beatz' kiddies who can haz EPIC soundtracks?

Do you really think the only thing in business arrangements that's of any importance is the money? And what about when we are talking about creating art? Do you think that they are looking for people who have no interest in the process, only the money?

Seeing as you've said you no longer need the money, you have time to do this properly; To prepare properly ; To show your best hand; To find the places that you think you best align with, and to do your best work.

tl;dr: If they ask you why you want to be a part of their community, do you say you are only interested int the money?
