The fb group is full of 80% only of this and gets tedious at the same time seeing full of shit moves of pa. Oh yeah i forgot they filter their fb group...
Because Di*k and company systematically ban anyone who doesn't fellatiate in the way they want.

Did they announce that somewhere? I was going through the Facebook feed and they have been curiously quiet about any question related to upcoming flash sales or vouchers. On their website monthly vouchers are nowhere mentioned anymore.
Follow me on Youtube for videos on spatial and immersive audio production.

A post by Dirk in the FB group does confirm that there will be vouchers this month. He didn't necessarily say the voucher would come on Monday, though, but a new plugin is coming on Monday.

Here's the exact phrasing:
"MY WEEK:
Monthly Vouchers coming? YES!
Can they be used on Subscription? NO.
New Plugins coming? YES!
When? Next one on Monday.
Will there be Intro Prices for VIPs and 'regular people'? YES!
Included in MEGA Bundle at no extra cost? YES!
If I subscribe to MEGA, will I keep my existing licenses? YES.
HAPPY WEEKEND ALL!"

Post

Subscribe to MEGA, the god of vouchers. YES!

Post

Me continuing in the spirit of that inane dialogue:

Will I be able to use the plugin in my computer? YES!
Can I use the plugin for music? YES!
Is the plugin appropriate for various genres of music? YES!
Will the plugin have parameters? YES!
Can the parameters be adjusted by the user? YES!
Is the plugin compatible with modern DAWs? YES!
If I subscribe, can I use the plugins? YES!
If I unsubscribe, can I use the plugins if I later subscribe? YES!
If I subscribe, do I have a subscription? YES!
If a member of my family wants to subscribe, can they subscribe even though I am subscribed? YES!

Yea this group have vibe of some sect group / followers of an televangelist. Sometimes there's a serious cringe. Most likely some folks really treat PA and Dirk as a messiah (with examples of mentioned televangelists, you don't need much to make people act like that) :ud:

I muted the group for that very reason. Was tired of all the post like "Thank you Dirk blablabla". Same kind of thing with the Slate group. Maybe it's the consequence for such clever/agressive marketing strategies. You end with a lot of starving fans and hardcore followers.

When I first discovered Plugin Alliance (not so long ago), just reading the reviews on any plugin on their site made my BS detector go up in flames because even in context of the present-day viral marketing culture - where buying stuff is a drug, your best friend is a pusher, and hype is a lifestyle - being perfectly normalized, the "positivity" in the reviews was a bit too thick for my taste. I can understand being genuinely hyped over something because it's so good, and wanting to sell it to your friend (or anybody), but the embroidered prose in comments of the purported customers made me seriously suspect the reviews were fake.

It was only after I searched for opinions on gearslutz and KVR that made me believe the PA plugins may actually be good. Honestly, I was suspicious until the whole subscriptiongate, and now I'm beginning to think the reviews are real, and the reviewers crazy.

I guess any sufficiently zealous fanboyism is indistinguishable from patent astroturfing. ;-)

Definitely all reviews on every website are 'curated' ;) I don't even consider them as a source of any useful information.
Anyway in the past I wouldn't believed that it's possible to be a fanatic of a plugin developer. It still sounds ridiculous to me. Can't wait to see support groups for people like those :hihi:

On many sites, you can read some very, very bad negative reviews of the stuff they sell.

On PA, nearly everything I encountered was positive and even some of the so-called "Industry" reviews didn't make any sense at all imho. Oh, you say you would enjoy an example of that? Then check out this surreal review of a shelf/tone control EQ (Bax EQ) - I was thinking about getting it before reading this, but thank you, no:
Excellent tool for surgically removing disturbing frequencies in a whole mix or a sound in the most stylish and elegant way. Sounds fantastic too!

had to unfollow the facebook group, oh my fellatio
collateral damage fair enough, but the weird sycophantic newb-esq rants seem to have turbo-charged their super brown lipstick power as of late. it's sickening.
