omac wrote: Sat Aug 03, 2019 11:03 am Teksonik - you're forgetting Toxic 2.5 (my all time favorite synth). That was a Synapse edit.
I'm not forgetting that Maxx allowed Richard to use Toxic code in Orion's Toxic but did he also allow Richard to use that code in another plugin that might compete with Maxx's plugins done for Image-Line ?

Remember the subject was did Richard use any Toxic code in Dune......
Touch The Universe wrote: Fri Aug 02, 2019 11:56 pm Dune 1 has a special sharpness and bite to it. Reminds me oddly of a hybrid between max claster toxic III and Hydra. It was released after Toxic was included in orion, so maybe he had a chance to include some of the fm or whatnot from that synth into it.
How could he not analyse the code? How could that analysis never impact his future codes?

Wrong. Have you even a/b tested? :help:

I guess he meant that the filters alone won't automagically make it sound like Dune 1.

I haven't bought any hardware this year at all due to an issue with my pay at work. However this has now been resolved and I'm expecting 8 months of back-pay imminently :hyper: I already have my Thomann shopping basket ready, just waiting for the money. So with any luck at the end of August the studio should be 99% where I want it.

Part of aforementioned Thomann purchase (may) include some Eurorack. It's in the basket, it just depends how much of a tightarse I am when crunch-time comes.
