I'm not much chop at much these days, but I still reckon I can pick a decent c*nt to sink an ale with...and I think you're a good lad Vurt. If I eventually get back to blighty I think I should look you up for a session.

This is the same method MJ used when he was working on Anthony Marinelli's Thriller.

produce for many styles of music have spent at least 10 years getting to know different styles in depth. The top line writers the same. But at the end of the day is it worth it?
What a great read. Thanks for posting this. To answer your question, at least partially, I've studied Max Martin in depth. I'm sure if I really put my mind to it, I could write in his style. Especially since I love the guy's work. Love Me Like You Do is probably one of my favorite songs of the last 20 years.

Of course Max Martin is as much about the production as the songwriting and that's where I feel I will probably fall way short. A Max Martin song without a Max Martin production may not sound that good. Not sure.

At the end of the day, is it worth is? I have no illusions about the business and what kind of hell it is. And honestly, I don't really want anything to do with that shit. Not at my age.

That's why I'm getting into production music. Maybe make a few bucks a month. I'll be happy with that.

ramseysounds wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2019 11:06 am Spend as much time on your music as you see fit, all I'm saying is why waste even more time arguing with people you clearly disagree with.
Who's arguing. I'm here having a civil conversation with people just like everybody else here is doing. Am I not entitled to that?
that's not quite true wags, sorry, but I just have to point this out that in response to the posts from SAW you said this just a page before the above quote
wagtunes wrote: Sun Aug 04, 2019 10:10 am Well, like I figured. All talk and no substance.
That is not trying to carry on a civil conversation, that is flaming and baiting trying to drag it on. If you were interested in your subject at hand you would simply let these things go by, it's ok to ignore people without using an ignore list and if someone doesn't like your music you dont have to prove to them your music is worth liking and drag a thread out more pages with senseless pissing matches.

I hardly think it will win him over either way, I doubt he will be in any decision making concerning your music so why let it bother you so? Move on, learn and grow from it but dont let it bring you down because he will not be the last, that's for sure. You cant fix the world, people will hate on you, put you down, judge you, lie on you everywhere you go so perhaps a wiser approach is to adjust how you respond to such comments...but I dont think hating back is good in any thread.

Yes wags you are entitled to fire back at your own risk, but from where I sit so far that has not worked in your favor.
The highest form of knowledge is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another's world. It requires profound, purpose‐larger‐than‐the‐self kind of understanding.
